Lathna had hurriedly collected all of the reavers and the fathomers pouch, only to fumble them. The bags hurl into the air, making it rain as they tumble to the ground, scattering coins everywhere. Nayreen plucks a waterproof pouch from the sharkwoman's body. Inside she finds many coins, five delicately carved coral gemstones and a potion. Meanwhile Lathna was still plucking shinies from dead bodies.
Kerric's perceptive watch down the hall leads him to believe that they dispatched this sections patrol. The corridor was clear of threats for the duration of the groups rest. The elf spots a door about 50 feet down the hall to the west and another at the far north end.
Total XP Granted: 3100xp Total XP EACH: 282xp (Must be added yourselves, and your apprentices.)

Nodding approvingly at Lathna, Kerric says, "Well fought. That was an intense first battle for you, but you stayed safe and contributed at range. Thankfully it did not become desperate enough that we needed you to wade into melee, though Ebele's wounds were severe."
When the others have finished their rest as well, Kerric speaks of the path ahead and asks, "Who among us would like to scout ahead?" Looking at his own shiny armor, he admits, "I may not be the best choice, but Lathna, you are welcome to volunteer if you like."
OOC: If the hallway has at least dim light, Lathna will join the recon. Otherwise, her lack of darkvision will hamper the effort and she will stay behind.

The rest was very welcomed. Controlling her breaths for recovering, paired with Reghys' melody provided enough rejuvenation. Ebele felt renewed and ready to go again. "I'm fit to fight." She'd assure Kerric with a confident smile.
Picking herself up off the ground, the monk would brush herself off although she couldn't see if she was dirty. "I'm comfortable scouting ahead." Ebele would suggest to Kerric's ask as she'd offer Hawke a hand up. The direction she was facing a little off, but the gesture was there. "Though a part of me must admit... Hawke may have a singular advantage on me." Her head would tilt as if she were winking.
- DM AFTERTHOUGHT! - (I now see how close the apprentices are to leveling up. So I will present an offer that's hard to refuse! It's in reward for everyone's great RP and management of their characters and commoners.)
OPTIONAL: You may transfer the XP difference from your PC to your apprentice.
PC: 282 - 18 = 264 total xp Apprentice: 282 + 18 = 300 total xp (Thus allowing you to level up your apprentice during the short rest.)
Equality: For Ebele and Hawke sharing an apprentice, they would both take the -18, but Nayreen will only gain 18 for a total of 300xp.

"Alright. Each person here, of the eleven of us, will receive 46 gold, 2 silver, and 6 copper. As well, original group members, the six of us, receive an additional 28 gold and 6 silver, and 8 copper that I hadn't distributed yet. Someone should keep this potion of healing on them for emergency use. I suggest Ebele. Please note, we have no agreement between the eleven of us regarding the management of treasure and so on. I've crafted this simple contract. It's not a full adventuring contract, just a very simple contract that says, while we travel together, you each earn a portion of the treasure, minus my management fee, for a period of one month. We can renew this as long as we see fit, but the expiry offers you all assurance against your natural desire to avoid my contracts, and limits any exposure you may feel you may be affected by." He is the first to sign the contract, which includes a page of terms and conditions written in common that all seem very straight forward. He then begins walking it around the group. After each person signs the paper, he passes them their share of the treasure.
