OOC: Sorry, I meant to mention that and I am just now getting to this game on my computer. I am not familiar with the roll you associated with the healing kit -- do you have a special ability that restores hit points?
Kerric gracefully accepts the healing from Ebele, saying, "Thank you for binding my wound, Ebele, I should be able to move more freely now." Kerric stretches and nods with satisfaction.
To T'chall'etc., he says, "I understand your concern, but the boy could also be in more danger coming with us. I believe he is telling us the truth, and I hope that letting him leave will not cause further problems for either him or us--and he really wants to leave. Still, your concern about his father is valid. Would you want to take him under your wing and keep him safe as we go?"

When you use a healer's kit to stabilize a dying creature, that creature also regains 1 HP. As an action, you can spend one use of a healer's kit to tend to a creature and restore 1d6 + 4 HP to it, plus additional HP equal to the creature's maximum number of Hit Dice. The creature can't regain HP from this feat again until it finishes a short or long rest.

Xalkas makes his opinion known, “I say we let him go, taking him with us could be dangerous, especially if we encounter more folks like the ones in the other room.” Though he doesn’t think it will sway the majority opinion. After so sharing his thoughts he stands off a ways from the group turning his dagger on and off for amusement.
Kerric watches Ebele speak softly to the boy, hopefully calming him down. "This could go badly any number of ways, but if the blind monk can convince the boy to help us and keep him safe at the same time, it could turn out well," he thinks, then says aloud to Xalkas, "Let us see what wonders Ebele can work, then take our cue from her. The boy does seem to know his way around here, but I'd rather release him than force him to come along unwillingly."

“No arguments from me good elf.” Xalkas says after turning off his dagger. “I’m only concerned for the boys safety, given that we were just attacked by a group of ...” there’s a pause as he tries to find just the right word “hooligans” he concludes though he’s not convinced that’s the correct word. Feeling a bit tired with the bandit catching and cultist ambush thwarting adds “Should we explore more here tonight or rest up at the inn and come back later?”
"Now, that is an interesting question, Xalkas. Had all we done was snoop around a little and fight some rats, I would say going back would be the easy decision. With the attack on us by the evil cultists and now this boy rescued, though, I have a feeling if we don't explore the rest of this area, it will be swept clean before we come back...This Cult of the Black Earth was a scourge for my people long ago, and they haven't survived this long undetected without being able to cover their tracks. Truthfully, I had expected to find little or nothing--maybe just some clues of the stone mask's presence at the quarry. A secret hideout is more than I had bargained for tonight. With Ebele's healing, I am hale and ready to continue, but perhaps we are over our heads here. What do you counsel?" he asks.

T'chal'fronack'zcinicker taps his toe impatiently. “It would seem Ebele will vouch for his safety. I will also keep an eye on him but make no bond.” He turns to Ebele at the comment of treasure, he’s reassured to see her nod to him. Excellent. They understand each other.
Then he slaps Xalkas on the shoulder, “Come, let us not leave all the recklessness to Rehgys.”
He heads back into the previous room to the other door they’d not yet explored and pushes it open bullishly.

What's the difference between a Wizard and a Sorcerer? Class.
A passage — ten feet wide, ten feet high, and hewn out of the rock — runs forty feet ahead. A small lantern hangs from a hook in the wall next to the door at the east end of the passage. Sitting on a wooden stool by the lantern is a balding, beardless old male human in patched and faded work trousers and a matching tunic. He is idly whittling a stick.
Xalkas is about to answer Kerric’s question but is interrupted by T'chal'fronack'zcinicker slapping him on the shoulder. Turning to see where the tiefling went, Xalkas lets out a sigh seeing him go off into the unknown. Thinking to himself, ‘Ok, ... so we’re doing this.’
As he begins to go after T'chal'fronack'zcinicker, Xalkas turns toward Ebele, “Do whatever you think best for the child’s safety” then hurries to catch T'chal'fronack'zcinicker.
Xalkas makes it a point to stay behind the tiefling and peers around him on either side or between his legs to see down the hallway. Xalkas is intrigued by the man whittling but says nothing. Waiting instead for one of his companions to speak first.
T'chal'fronack'zcinicker stops short seeing the guy whittling. He looks behind him to see if the rest of the group has followed. Only after he confirms they're here with him does he speak up, "Uh, hello good sir. A fine cool late evening to you."

Yes the Delvers are dead From time to time, the great stones change position when no one is watching. That is how they talk to us. They show us signs of coming danger and warn us when we make bad choices.
