Damara stands, feeling much better after the break. Nodding her head in thanks at Caradoc and Aeneas, she stretches a bit and shoulders her blade, ready to continue.

Damara and Cardoc begin to slowly make their way south hoping to continue your search for Moneo without attracting the attention of these otherworldly looking creatures, and they seem to be making progress as the creatures don't seem to notice them; but, when Aeneas begins to crouch, he just can't help but make some noise. He scrapes his foot along the ground, making a scratching sound on the hard floor and his weapons make a dull metal on stone scraping sound, as well, as he attempts to crouch silently. The noises, though relatively subtle, are loud enough to draw the attention of these creatures. They turn around, initially honing in on Aeneas's location.
Both shots connect, and as they do, you see this inky blackness spread in a 15' radius like a cloud originating from Creature 1. None of you can see through or into it.
Damara, knowing where the creature was when it was hit, moves approximately fifteen feet forward into the inky cloud, her eyes closed and her other senses focused she takes a reckless swing at the location where the creature should be(I assume there is disadvantage from the cloud, so the advantage from reckless attack should cancel it out, no?)
Attack: 16 Damage: 9

((Yes, applying both advantage and disadvantage will cancel them out. That works for me.))
Damara swings her greatsword, blindly (recklessly, some might say) and amazingly, she strikes her intended target. She hears a scream, but has no idea whether the creature is alive or dead at this point.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
In the darkness, Damara suddenly feels what can only be described as a damp, leather blanket wrapping itself around her face and she's struggling to breathe.
Attack: 23 Damage: 5
Damara takes 9 bludgeoning damage and even if she wasn't already blinded by the inky black cloud, she would be now. She will automatically fail any ability checks that require sight and she has disadvantage on all attack rolls for now. Damara is also currently unable to breathe all together.
Then, all of a sudden, the black inky cloud expands and both Caradoc and Aeneas are engulfed. They are both blinded.
Note that neither Aeneas nor Caradoc actually knows where either of the creatures are, or where each other are, at this point. So, the only reason I'm posting this map update is so you can have an understanding of where the black clouds are. But, none of your characters would have any point of reference for how large the cloud is, or where anyone is inside of it.
Aeneas, frustrated, yells out. "If anyone has some magic to dispel this shadow, now would be the time!" he says. "I am moving SW to where I last saw Damara. I cannot see you... I have my sword, so stay out of the way." Stepping towards the last direction he knew Damara to be in, reaching out with his hand first, then his sword, Aeneas continues to speak loudly hoping to keep allies out of the way, "I...am...moving...forward...still...and..."

Caradoc nods and gives her shoulder a squeeze, then turns to Aeneas. “All ready? Time to keep going. Moneo needs us.”

Damara frowns at the words. "I doubt it, but if we are, it is not, something we have, control, over. Best not to, worry, no?"
“Agreed!” Caradoc says cheerfully. “So let’s keep looking.” Caradoc leads the way this time, continuing the search for Moneo
