(whispers to Ashanti) "ill do it, but I want to see the buyer. if he aint decent, we take the stock and dispose of it. guns in the wrong hands are devastating." (shudders) "believe me "

“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.
Mobile- {I assume you’re trying not to be overheard by Agelmar}
”I can see you wish to confer privately- I will retire to my room- first on your left at the top of the stairs. Come find me when you are ready to discuss terms”
(Brona would usually have no problem going ahead with the job, but is being very cautious due to the presence of Crown's Guard and Righteous Brand in the city.)
(Sinsil believes that sometimes laws are their to protect the unwashed masses from hurting themselves and feels she is above such trifles. But she still does not believe it prudent to get caught doing something illegal.)
Watching the figure retreat to his room, Brona leans over the table closer to her companions. "I'm not sure I like this. First night in a city brimming with all manner of soldiers," she trails off, voice low. She rolls her shoulders, trying to work out the tension that has formed against her best efforts. "Maybe we should take the night to think it over, then make a choice in the morning. We've been on the road for a week, I'm sure none of us would object to a night off duty as it were."
Rising from her chair she moves towards where Tormann indicated her room was, "Anyone's welcome to a spot in the room I rented, no need to spend more than we have to."She enters the room and sets her pack into a corner, before removing her chain mail and folding it then sets in down next to the pack. She lays out her bedding so she faces the door, keeping her weapon and shield within reaching distance.
Ashanti rushes after Brona and sets up her bedroll right beside hers, ignoring the large empty areas of the room. She put her weapons and armour against the wall, then lay down.
(Alrighty, I'm getting the feeling that for most of your characters, the risk is too high at this time. You know that the Crown's Guard Captain is looking for mercenaries to deal with the creatures outside the city from Villon, or you can explore the city to find other leads for work. If everyone is cool with it, we can skip to the morning and go from there)
You pass the night in the comfort of the inn and wake up refreshed. As the morning sun creeps through the shutters, the smell of freshly baked bread begins to draw the guests out of bed and down to the common room.
Eventually, you all descend and begin to discuss what you will do now.

Sinsil will start of the conversation. "What are our options? I am not apposed to the offer from last night, but we must be very cautious. Otherwise I'd like to see if this mudpit of a town has a representative from the Solstrice Academy to trade arcane implements... They may have work for us as well if they are here."
" I'm a hunter by trade so putting down these rampaging beasts seems easy enough, guns I've had little to do with in the past.....and I know little to nothing of magics though.."
Rousing to find the room empty, Brona quickly packs her bedding, secures her shield to her pack and dons her chain mail before heading to find her companions. "I'm not opposed to taking a look around here, Sinsil." She nods to Ashanti, "It wouldn't hurt to see if we can lend a helping hand. We could split, some of us go to sniff out for people from Soltryce and the rest could find the details for dealing with the beasts beyond the city walls."
Ashanti looked at the others, " What was that?"

(tenser's coming in clutch.)
(Under his breath) "weapons. I suspected as much"
(whispers to Ashanti) "ill do it, but I want to see the buyer. if he aint decent, we take the stock and dispose of it. guns in the wrong hands are devastating." (shudders) "believe me "

" Guns....oh....yeah I haven't had much to do with them."
(So what is the plan? Tristan wants to prevent the weapons from falling into the wrong hands. What do the rest of you think?)

" Do you want me to braid your hair?"

(sounds good- who is going to investigate the creatures and who will be looking for the wizards?)
