Six laughs quietly at their bickering, glancing back at them briefly. "I'm afraid I cannot make light, but I can lead," he offers, his ears flicking absently to note every sound in the cave. "Is it always like this with you all?" he wonders aloud, turning his gaze ahead again. "Not that I mind it, of course; it is nice to hear voices other than my own again."
(So as I understand it, the marching order is Six, Tristan, Ashanti, Sinsil. If anyone wants to mix it up just let me know).
You begin to stealthily make your way to the left, where the passage curls downwards, the cave floor slick with fetid water and algae. As you progress, the angle of the floor tilts more dramatically, until the narrow cave reminds you of some fair-day slide. I will need some dexterity checks for everyone to keep their feet.
Also, could Six and Tristan give me some perception checks.
Very nice. In the dark, Ashanti’s foot slips out from under her as she begins to topple. Tristan manages to pivot and stop her from sliding out of control down the passage. With his other hand he manages to lunge forward and grab the back of Six’s belt, a second before he would have triggered the shin-high tripwire concealed in the gloom.
Following the wire, it leads to a concealed panel in the top of the slope, filled with -of all things- pots and pans. Not dangerous, but extremely loud if it was to fall down on a group of intruders, for example.
At the bottom of the slope, the cavern opens up again into a round chamber approximately 40 feet in diameter. On the far wall, a ramp of logs leads up to another fissure in the rock 10 feet up.
A foul stench reaches your nose, as you see three large, humanoid figures shambling toward the ramp, carrying what looks like crude baskets of metal trinkets. Their skin shifts subtly, taking on the colours of the rocks around them. One stops a moment to sniff the air in your direction...
"I see better than most in the dark, would you like me to lead?" Sinsil teases
"I can see too. Ash, put your hand on my shoulder, and I will lead you."
“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.
" I absolutely would.", Ashanti said flatly.
" Alright, but somebody better put some light up if we're into a fight....I don't want to accidentally make a gnome-kebab."
"Anythin' for you milady. But we dont want to end up as lizard fodder."

"My thanks, friend," Six murmurs, making a face at the trap. "I would hate to have made all that racket." He continues more carefully.
