Mobile "I have a spell that I can use to carry him, so long as I can take ten minutes every hour to cast it, it would slow is down for those 10 minutes, but after that it can't would be easier on our backs... If we don't buy horses." Sinsil says to the group.
{OOC- DM: Given our limited humble funds, is there any way we could scrounge enough between us to afford something approximating a horse drawn cart/wagon?)
"Could be we do this job for the city, earn ourselves a bit of coin and use it to secure some method of transport apart from walking. I agree with Sinsil that the sooner we get to him the better chances are of him still breathing if we find him, but it's a long way to go by foot."
(Looking at the PHB, you could probably manage a cart -15gp- and a pair of mules -8gp each-) Draft horses, Wagons or carriages would be a bit out of your price range at the moment. As this is a fairly large city with a big military presence, finding basic transport for sale shouldn't be difficult.
Mobile~ "That is a valid point, and clearing out lizard people could be good practice to prepare is against the perils of the open road." There is an undertone of disappointment in Sinsil's voice. She does not like admitting that other people have good ideas.
It is a couple of hours before noon, so you have almost the whole day remaining before nightfall. You know the creatures are coming from the east, and Mikuel is somewhere to the south. What’s the plan?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mobile~ Sinsil scratches down a few quick notes in her journal and then looks up to the group. "We are in agreement then. To rescue Mikuel, alive or otherwise, we need beasts if burden. If we pool our current resources we could get a cart and a mule. If we go murder lizard people we can potentially earn coin for a larger horse and wagon. I would say the mule could be efficient so long as it is obedient, but otherwise would suggest the more immediate means of monetary gain. What say the rest of you?"

Try as you might, the information you have is too patchy to positively identify the creatures right now.
Mobile~ With the not from Ashanti, Sinsil will continue. "Very well, we will attempt to secure a horse and wagon with funds garnered from assisting the guards. Now, shall we proceed now? Time is of the essence, but we also should be prepared for the worst."
You set off through the city streets, passing markets, blacksmith shops and armourers, and many other kinds of businesses that make their living supplying the army stationed in the fort. Before long you arrive at the eastern gate, where the guards ask your names and business once again. This side of the city is surrounded by farmland, which eventually gives way to rolling hills a few miles from the city. In the distance, you see the Brokenveil Bluffs rising up to meet the horizon.
Ashanti decided to put her misgivings aside about their mission and just enjoy the outdoors, she strolled easily along waving to field workers and generally doing her best to annoy Sinsil with pure cheer.
Sinsil to Ashanti "You seem chipper for one going off to cull the innocent, I thought you distasted our duties." Sinsil says with a bit of venom and a hint of joy.
From behind you you hear the creaking and rattling of an approaching wagon. On the driver’s bench are a young couple you recognise from their performance at the tavern the night before.
“Ho there travellers! If you're heading east, might as well hop in. There’s beasts about, or so the rumour goes.” Says the half-orc actor.
The back of the covered wagon is full of the belongings of a travelling performer- elaborately painted backdrops, costumes, props and so on. Lounging on a trunk in the corner you see a shadowed figure...
"Oh come now, It was only a bit of a joke. I despise this messy work almost as much as you do. Perhaps the lizards are reasonable and we can get them to move without harming them and then seek greater reward." Sinsil clambers her way up onto the wagon. Then casts prestidigitation to clean herself up before sitting across from the others.

Ashanti looked at Sinsil under hooded eyes then poked out her tongue, her pout somewhat lessened.

" We could just walk, couldn't we? Carry the poor lost lad home?"
" Not that I'm opposed to a cart, I just don't have the funds for one."

" Hopefully if we kill a few of the warriors the rest of the tribe will leave. I'm not feeling up to gutting children, scaly or not."

Ashanti nodded...though not eagerly.

Ashanti immediately crumpled and began slouching along the road, poking her shark-lance at various pieces of foliage along the way.
Mobile- {poor Ashanti 😂}

Ashanti leapt aboard the wagon, .......she did not offer the gnome a hand up but plonked herself down next to the shadowed figure.

Tristan climbs up next to the figure "My name is Tristan"
