"It belongs in the crypt with the great lady," Brida replies. "Her tomb I know is below the chapel with her warrior guards buried with her," she explains. "My mother said the great lady was the high priestess here once who scarified herself for her followers to trap a great evil," she adds gripping the stone in her hand as she moves with you towards the corridor.
Saarebas, Erevan, Darik, Pitero, and Andulra lead the group towards the dormitories flanked by Brida and Aldaryn with the goblin chief. As you round the corner of the hall you confront a passage nearly blocked with crates, beds, and chests. It seems someone set them up to barricade against the dormitories which has been recently cast aside. Across the room a stone doorway is damaged. The stone doorway seems as if the rocks themselves were as soft as clay when it was destroyed, blown outward into the room!
"Through there," Brida points to the blown out doorway.
As you near the doorway Saarebas you see a crumbling staircase spiraling down out of sight. There's an overwhelming smell of damp and decay that hits you as you stand at the damaged doorway. If you are going down the steps it will have to be single file, the far side of the staircase not beside the wall is damaged and crumbling into the darkness below.
Darik you can hear the voice now echoing below from somewhere in the direction of the doorway to the crypt.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Erevan moves to the front of the group. "Let me scout ahead, count to 20 before following. " Erevan moves down the stairway trying to stay quiet and out of sight, looking for traps and lose boards
Erevan as you move down the stone steps you accidentally move some stone that clatters into the darkness below hitting what sounds like shallow water. So far there are not traps and in the pitch black even with your dark vision you can't make out much else but ruined stone, half way down the steps you do notice yet another pile of ashes.
What's the marching order?
Brida and Aldaryn follow about ten paces behind Erevan.
Brida stealth 19
Aldaryn stealth 7 he too kicks more rubble into the ruin darkness causing another rubble of deep speech to echo through the staircase!
Collectively the party is making far too much noise to go undetected. As you proceed down the crumbling staircase you once a distinct change in temperature, the air is cold and stale the further down.
Erevan you notice the runes again, carved all throughout the staircase and shaft descending into the darkness.
Darik roll a dex save please.

Darik you need a light source, you're entering a pitch black staircase that's crumbling into the darkness. You can no dark vision.
Erevan: You reach the end of the steps and see there's ankle deep water ahead of you, the chamber is completely black now, without a light source you will not be able to proceed even with your dark vision there is no light available and the light from the dormitories above is too dim to reach this deep.

OOC: I guess there isn’t any flashlights in my bag?
OOC: No, there are no flashlights. There are some spells that create light (like the spell Produce Flame or Light) or you can always use a torch.
Being unable to see that far down Saarebas will get a torch from his pack and light it. He’ll also switch to a handaxe so he has a weapon ready.
For clarity his handaxe is in his main hand and his offhand has the torch.
OOC: Well I don't have any light sources other than some candles, wouldn't have thought a character with dark vision would need it.
