It doesn't take long for the party to rejoin the group at the Tierney's farm, there you also find seven clerics of various ages and training as well as four acolytes. There are an additional thirteen 'new' villagers found by the two villagers who came from the farm with Brida, Andulra, and Pitero. Everyone gather has filled the farm at max capacity of fifty-eight survivors out of village of, what Brida tells you, was two-hundred and seven.
There is already a watch established by the townspeople and you all will be able to successfully get a long rest.
Brida and Aldaryn join the clerics and acolytes that are giving aid to other but there are three clerics who look badly burned and one of the four acolytes is missing an arm! The villagers whom you see that have joined the others have minor bumps and bruises but it seems Vera and the clerics have sorted out the wounded and are making provisions for the new group that has joined them.
Checks? Pointed searches for Sir Ballen or questions about his whereabouts? I will leave these to you guys once again Brida/Aldaryn only roll for attacks/traps/savs.

Erevan will ritual cast identify on the ring and on the totem (if brida allows).
He'll make himself available to assist the injured but admits that many others present are more capable than he is.
He'll also talk with any of the clerics or others fro the temple who will answer him about Sir Ballen's whereabouts. If anyone seems tight lipped (Insight: 12) he'll try to coax out what they're hiding (Persuasion: 18). To any of the higher ranking clerics (or Brida) he'll mention the ash pile he found in Ballen's library. "There's no way for me to know who died there. Can any of you commune with a pile of ashes?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Saarebas will ask about the watch rotation and trying to get in the rotation. He'll also offer his aid for any heavy lifting of collapsed building pieces as well as gathering food. He'll remark that he is an excellent fisherman if there is any streams or rivers nearby.
The basic consensus from the surviving clerics and acolytes from the temple is this: After the party left, the original party, things began to happen. A group of travellers appeared in the village seeking shelter which the temple gave as always. Then that night the same odd looking dwarves and dark elves that came to the temple convinced Sir Ballen to take them to the crypt and that was the last the others had seen of any of them. Then the sounds in the temple started coming from the crypt then an explosion followed by chaos! Something came from the crypt was all they could say but no one survived who got an actual look at whatever it was that left the ash piles, people assumed later were the fallen.
The villagers confirmed the ash pile assumptions too.
Saarebas: No harm came to the Tierney farm thanks to the druidic wards that are still there unmarred and unbroken by the Chauntea symbols that are carved throughout and over them in the village as well as the temple.
Erevan: Sorry I just realized I didn't answer that! Do you have a pearl worth at least 100 gp and an owl feather? Or access to said items to cast the spell?
Darik: Asking Brida she explains although the temple is hierarchical they're loss too many of the elders to sort out who's 'in charge.' Those left have just tried to help the villagers and one another! It's a religious order not a military one and although Sir Ballen was a de facto leader because of his influence the village is essentially run by a group of village elders like Vera who's Brida's aunt. Question her maybe?

"Hello," Vera says to Darik looking at the dragonborn curiously now.

Darik: "With Sir Ballen missing, I wanted to know if you knew anything about the crypt? Brida tells me that the Village Elders most ran things and with the acolytes and clerics in a disarray they don't seem to know anything about Sir Ballen mission if he even had one. Last Night's at attack was focused on the temple and it's clear as day that the temple is hiding something very dangerous."

Darik: Vera seems to be hard to read regardless of what she's about to tell you. She's an older human woman with very little 'tells' so to speak but answers your questions.
OOC: I am assuming the whole party will be listening in to this but please anyone else ask your questions!
"Ballen came about five years ago to convert us from the old ways of our village priest who's interpretations of Chauntea was...different that his," Vera begins. "Ballen is a fool and I've always said so," she then says curtly glancing to Brida whom you see now nods, hanging her head as if she's ashamed. "It's him I'm sure that started all this," she then adds. "Banning the old ways and bringing his church here," she added. "This harvest was to be the fifth in a row that has failed and I draw a direct link to Ballen's zealotry," she adds her voice hushed but hard in tone. "Then went the people came to me for shelter nearly four nights ago I suspected he sent off one of the keystones that protected us from the beast I've only ever heard about from the old ones," she then whispers looking to Brida now as you see Brida take out the stone and hands it over to her aunt who refuses to touch it herself only nods. "Yes," she nods next, "that's one of them," she adds curiously looking it over but still refusing to touch it! "Is that all he gave you child," she then asks Brida who nods vigorously.
"It is," Brida begins. "I...I was too blind and pious to ask him what it was," she then adds glumly. "I took it blindly thinking he was right in gifting it to Chauntea," she finishes looking again ashamed, so much so that Aldaryn rejoins Brida. His willowy frame is now beside Brida but it's not until he takes her hand does it seem to surprise as well as please Vera.
"We have to put it back," Vera then says with a curt nod looking away from the couple to the party. "This stone as well as any of the others they have been taken from the great lady," she adds. "What did you see at the temple?" She asks curiously now looking to the party. "What of the crypt," she adds.

"We got down to the crypt where we were met with some skeletons defending it. Once we downed those enemies though we ran into the real problem. The path forward is blocked by some magical field that disintegrates whatever attempts to pass through it. There were some strange markings on it but I don't know much about magic so I cannot tell you what they mean or do."
Vera asks Saarebas if he remembers what a symbol looks like to draw it in the dirt before she asks if they found anything on the bodies of the fallen skeletons.
