GIl's eyes widen in mirth at Eekz, stifling a grin he attempts to look scorned, "Eekz, I thought you only had eyes for me" Gil follows it up with a dramatic sniffle.
As you rapidly enter the house and close the door behind you, you split up to investigate where the trail leads. There must be another entrance or path that leads somewhere. There are no bodies, no trails, and little signs of humanoid life. There is dust all over the floor, as well as myriad footprints in every direction. They are layered on top of each other so it is nearly impossible to tell the how recently they were made. The furniture in the house is well worn, but the cobwebs, dust, and refuse demonstrate that the house is not well cared for. Old, moth-eaten tapestries are sporadically placed around the walls.
Could I get an investigation check from two of you (first two to respond)?

While the other two are investigating the room Gil slowly ambles about the room and dramatically pokes his head behind each of the tapestries in turn. He turns to say something to the group then stops and drops his voice, "I've always had a thing for a good tapestry."
Eekz is, after some fruitless distractions caused by shiny things, able to identify that there is a faint scratch in the wood on the floor which leads from the front door to one of the tapestries. There are also sporadic droplets of blood which appear to be fresh. You follow this scratched trail and blood to the faded green and black tapestry, meeting Gil during his dramatic investigation of the tapestries. Together, you see that behind the tapestry is wall, though this is surely where the trail ends. The only other notable fact is that the area around this wall is noticeably cleaner than the rest of the house.

Eekz's childish fantasies pay off when he pushes on the wall and the whole wall begins to rotate, revealing another empty house. The wall is heavy for Eekz, reluctant to move. However, Gil, seeing the slightly struggling goblin, provides aid, and the wall slowly begins to rotate. The door scrapes along the floor as it moves, a sound which is a bit too loud for your taste.
Looking past the door, you see another empty room, a sister to the one you are leaving.

Pulling out a flagon and taking a drag from it, Sylivar heads over to the other side of the room. Glancing around, he attempts to look for other signs of doors and passageways.
"Good job so far folks. Those guys surely tried hard to not leave any traces behind. Let's see where all of this is gonna lead us..." Gaèl steps through the door as well, following behind Gil and Sylivar.
You peruse this house and find much the same as the connected house you came from. There are many dusty pieces of kitchenware, furniture which is more recently used, and bits of mold sporadically throughout the place. Someone lived here once, but it has been been a long time. There are windows, most of which are boarded up, and another door which leads out into the streets.

"Someone who is good at these things should check to see if the trail leads onto the next street. It would be a neat way for people to move between one part of the city and another quickly by doing a switcheroo of houses like this," Dylan says, hand relaxed on the hilt of his sword. Dylan looks about, happy to leave the work of investigation to people with sharper minds and eyes than his to do their stuff. He knows this is not his forte and waits patiently for the nerds, as he considers them, to tell him what has happened here.
Dra'vos follows the others into the next room but pauses to examine the false wall for a moment, “I agree this is well thought out, it would also allow you to disappear from pursuers fairly easily.” He then turns to Gil and Eekz, “Fine job noticing it you two.”
"Thanks Dra'vos" Gil nods with a smile on his face, "What can I say, I have an affinity for a good tapestry." Gil scans the new room again looking for tapestries, footprints, blood marks and anything suspiscious.

Eekz slaps Thom's ass playfully as he passes by and then cackles to himself. He closes the door and locks it.

"Eekz 'as a particular set of skills." The goblin announces as he scoots up onto a chair and starts playing with his lockpicking tool.

On a hunch of a secret passage as young Goblins fantasize about, he pushes bits of the wall to see if there is a button.

'Nice Eekz,' says Gil as he lifts his foot up and over an imaginary trip wire, stepping to the side as he scans the room for traps.
