Ackley calmly smiles . “That sounds more than fair “ he takes out his coin and counts out 1450 onto the counter into neatly arranged stacks . “Tell me ... what colour is the bag of tricks ?”
A Jackal , Giant hyena and a Tiger are summoned and stick close to Ackley as he feeds them each a goodberry chattering to then in sylvan , exchanging greetings .
“Oh my dear that was including the armour your currently wearing as the base material for the enchantment. It’s a middling level protection enchantment that wouldn’t take me long to cast but the material components are expensive hence the 1200 gold cost. Have a think about it while I finish giving the items to your friends.”
She heads back into the storage and returns with a long needle and the bracers that Jhee-Kharr purchased. She slides the bracers over his wrists. She then takes a hold of his callused hands and hold the needle to them. The needle liquifies and oozes over his hands turning into a dark tattoo of a multiple limbed clawed beast. “There you go sweetie that should help your fisticuffs.”
Having completed your shopping trip you spend the evening relaxing before you continue on the road East to Everlund. Now in the odd company of the frost giant Harshnag.
After 3 days of travel you come to a fork in the road. The right hand fork heads south to Triboar and from there would turn east again to Everlund. It would take you about 3 weeks of hiking. The left hand fork heads towards the Spine of the World and the Eye of the All-King. Which way do you go?
Ackley turns to Harshnag. “A constant road to the spine of the world May be out most direct route on your quest master giant . But it offers us little in the way of rest-bite should we need it . Didn’t you say that we can find our way by heading north from Everlund?”
he gestures down the right hand path . ”I’d suggest we head this route and give ourselves waypoints , and perhaps a chance to purchase faster means of travel at towns along the way.”
He scans the group after saying his piece for objections or agreement .
You set of south along the trail and a week later cut east again from Triboar through the Dessarin Valley up into the Sumber Hills. The presence of Harshnag with your group affords you a measure of solitude on the road, the usual brigands and smaller monsters not desperate enough to tangle with the huge figure and an armed party. Eventually having made your way through the Silverywood, kingdom of the elves, you find yourself approaching Everlund.
Situated on the banks of the Rauvin River, Everlund is one of the North’s most active mercantile communities. A thick stone wall encloses the city, pierced in five places by gates. Like the spokes of a wheel, broad, straight avenues lead from each gate to the Bell Market at the city’s center. The streets are clean and wide enough to accommodate large caravan vehicles. Soldiers of the city’s army make a show of patrolling the walls, to reassure citizens and visitors as well as to discourage attackers. The buildings of Everlund are stately and well maintained, with steeply pitched rooftops and tall spires that sport colorful banners. Two bridges span the river, which has parks and trees along its shores.
The most prominent edifice in Everlund is Moongleam Tower, a keep of black stone that serves as a Harper stronghold in the North. It rises from one of the higher knolls in the city and consists of four narrow, cylindrical towers joined together, surrounded by a dry moat that can be quickly flooded through a system of cisterns and pumps. Crowning the roof is an open turret, where a signaling mirror shaped like a crescent moon stands.
Harshnag looks down at JK “I don’t know who you’re here to see little cousin. This detour is your idea.”
Leowin pipes up saying that you all received a letter of recommendation to see an arch Mage. The letter calls him Krowen Valharrow. You could probably just waltz up to the doors and present the letter
Ackley calmly smiles . “That sounds more than fair “ he takes out his coin and counts out 1450 onto the counter into neatly arranged stacks . “Tell me ... what colour is the bag of tricks ?”
roll for colour 5
Oh it’s a lovely tan colour my dear. And here is your shield.
You have a sale for the half plate, how about you take some off as a trade in for this armour I have?
Persuasion 18
Leo nods and accepts the cloak and armour improvement
Ackley takes three fur balls from the bag of tricks and tosses them onto the floor to try out the item.

“Deal. My thanks everyone for your Stirling business!!”

Leo agrees with Ackley. It would be the most logical course
Harshnag listens to Ackley and nods in agreement. “You are very wise for one so small. Let us continue to Everlund then”
Well chop chop then, let’s not waste time

It is this that is your intended destination
So Harshnag, who do we need to see to get permission to get up there? Or can we just waltz on up?
Harshnag looks down at JK “I don’t know who you’re here to see little cousin. This detour is your idea.”
Leowin pipes up saying that you all received a letter of recommendation to see an arch Mage. The letter calls him Krowen Valharrow. You could probably just waltz up to the doors and present the letter
Krowen Valharrow, eh?

Any objections to marching right up there letters in hand gentlemen? Or should we ask the locals about him first?
Krowen isn’t very adventurous himself, but he’s fond of adventurers and uses them to do his dirty work.
