There’s a faint sob and then the barricade opens a crack and you see a scrawny human Male with a conspicuous wet patch. “They deffo dead? I don’t want my brains being ‘et by them horrible things!”
“Errrrr okay.... oh gosh you really did a number or the horrible little buggers. I’m Kelim. Formerly of the Fine Fellows of Daggerford. I was trying to get out when I got waylaid but goblins and these little horrors”
“I’ll thank you kindly and swiftly make my way if that’s all the same to you. As a token of my appreciation here’s a spellbook I snaffled from further in, it’ll be worth something to a wizard or a collector but I’d rather just get out now.
Kelim shakes his head “I wasn’t really paying much attention. A tunnel looks much like another to me. It’s one of the reasons I got booted from the group and told to go home.”
“They ditched me down a level, had to make my way back here. The other reasons I suppose would be fame and glory but games no good if you got no coin to spend it.”
Eoan lying comes as naturally to this guy as breathing does to everyone else, you reckon he got something valuable and buggered off leaving his group lower down as opposed to them abandoning him
Stepping to one side Eoan leaves a route open for the coward to leave while staring at him unimpressed . “ let him go lads ... actually ... let me help you with a shortcut my lost friend “ He then explains a “faster route back” right past the feeding troll.

gruff brutish voice rides roughshod into your mind Snivelling Coward! Not a human but a weasel given humanoid form. His guard is lowered, go on, put an end to his mewling existence! Persuasion 22
Bloodthirsty rage consumes you as you look upon this snivelling coward. Before it becomes conscious thought the spear lashes out tearing through his carotid and releasing an arterial spray across the room
Flicking the blood off the spear tip and takes a moment to look around confused at his Allies as if listening to nothing . Then hunches over the lifeless body and goes through the corpses pockets . Searching for anything of value
Apart from the spell book he handed over Kelim also carried an explorer’s pack (with its perishable supplies mostly depleted) and a pouch containing 5 pp, 24 gp, and 4 sp.
After a few awkward moments where Eoan pilfers the cash from Kelims corpse you head back to the main room, knowing you’ve at least cleared the grick nest which was bothering the Xanathar guild members before their deaths. You have to choose between north and southwest. Opting to clear the north before forging onwards you follow the corridor to where it heads east again. You see two doors ahead of you. One to the left and one straight ahead

“Look for yourself ... and while you’re at it . Who might you be ? How did you get here ?”
