The door to this room hangs slightly ajar, and the sound of squeaking rats emanates from within. Peeking inside you see 10 giants rats and an enormously fat rat sleeping on a crumbling stone throne, an oddly glowing greataxe leaning against it
The rats primarily concern themselves with forging on rotten food and ignore the light footed Goliath. To retrieve the axe will require a sleight of hand test to avoid waking the fat rat up
The axe tips away from Jhee-Karr’s fingers and grinds noisily on the stonework before Jhee can scoop it up. The fat rat shakes itself awake at the noise and stares sleepily up at the monk.
Sig steps up. “Looks more my speed I’ll use it for now until the warlock wants an upgrade. Let’s continue on..”
He opens the remaining door and steps in. Cobweb-covered statues of dwarves stand atop 2-foot-high pedestals in alcoves. (One of the northernmost statues has been pushed over revealing a secret door) a giant rat scurries away from the noise and disappears into a drainage pipe. With nothing else of interest in the room Sig saunters over to the secret door. “Shall we?”
Sig opens the door and steps through into what appears to be an abandoned guard room. Lying on the floor is a battered helm, a tattered suit of leather armour, two halves of a shattered wooden shield, etc etc.....

Jhee-Kharr tiptoes into the room and tries to grab the axe unnoticed

Jhee-Kharr lobs some jerky from his rations in front of the rat to try and placate/distract it, makes himself look really big and grabs for the axe
The fat rat squints at him and takes the jerky, before chitterling away to itself
Jhee-Kharr backs away slowly and shuts the door behind him.
Phew! That was close. Rather large fine looking axe anyone? Carillius, do you want to see if it's ensorcelled in any way? That's more your forte.
