Eoan spins Ruins Wake as the creature dies. Bet you’re glad I’m around eh? Accursed thing nearly took yer head off. Maybe you should start listening to my advice a bit more eh? Old Yarrowish has been around the block a few times kid, I’ll keep you straight.
Determined to get something of worth for the trouble of nearly losing his head . Eoan wanders back into the Smiths room and deposits one of the ingots into his pack . Testing it for weight
Once everyone has the stash they want sorted you Male you’re way back to the two headed dwarf statue. To the left of the statue you see a stairwell heading down. Sig casts light on his axe and holds it aloft so you all can see as you begin the descent. You circle around the stairs for several minutes wondering how long it will take to reach the next level down when you hear a feminine voice emanate from the walls around you. This is taking too long, you are needed further down. Let’s hope Halaster doesn’t catch us! The stairs, firm and unyielding underfoot suddenly tip and become smooth like silk, you have no hand holds to grab onto to arrest your descent as the stairs become like a helter skelter, morphing the route you take. You see the intended exit for the stairs flash by out of reach as your slide starts burrowing down through bedrock. It slows you down enough for you not to be injured but spits you out into a crude cave system. To the right is a rough tunnel while to the left there appears to be masoned rooms with torches alight.
Walking towards the catacombs to the left you see the following.
These catacombs are part of a temple complex formerly dedicated to the dwarven god Dumathoin, patron of mining and exploration and the protector of the dwarven dead. The catacombs have the following features:
Carvings. The smooth-carved walls bear engraved imagery of mountains marbled with veins of glittering minerals, and the marble floor is caked in dust.
Tombs. Shelf-like niches carved into the walls are stacked three high. Each of these open tombs contains the dust-covered bones of a long-dead dwarf.
The dwarves laid to rest here were all worshipers of Dumathoin. Characters who search each shelf also find fragments of metal armor so old that they turn to dust at the lightest touch, as well as tiny stone beads with holes bored through them.
On each shelf you also find fragments of metal armor so old that they turn to dust at the lightest touch, as well as tiny stone beads with holes bored through the centre. Jhee-Khar recalls that ancient dwarves braided the beards of their dead using these stone beads.
Looking at the exits to the catacombs you see The partially rotted remains of a male human lie in an entrance way leading north. He was heading south from the tunnels to the north. What’s left of his face is twisted into a silent scream.
Medicine check for anyone who wants to investigate further.
To the north east is another exit, this one hand made instead of natural.
Leo’s check of the body reveals several grisly wounds on the corpse, including one on his neck where the skin has peeled outward, suggesting that something emerged from within. This human died after spider eggs hatched inside his body and the creatures swarmed out of him.

Eoan rolls his eyes but takes heed of the voice from the spear as he stows it on his back while investigating the golden spear

”anyone else fancy a look ? I could use a hand , it’s not really my forte “
As you look at the golden spear it slowly comes apart, turning into a grey goop before running in between the cracks on the paving slabs

Well, that was bracing!
Unfortunately the map I copied is a side-on view, so I've no idea where to go. At least we know Skullport is on this level.
Shall we head further in?

On each shelf you also find fragments of metal armor so old that they turn to dust at the lightest touch, as well as tiny stone beads with holes bored through the centre. Jhee-Khar recalls that ancient dwarves braided the beards of their dead using these stone beads.
The archaeologist in Jhee-Kharr gets the better of him and he pockets a few of the beads for later study
