Nivlen, (on his turn) will try out the new quickshot bandolier. He will use his movement to be just inside the 120’ long range of his hand crossbow and take two shots with disadvantage. Then he will retreat with whatever movement he has left to add distance from the troll and prepare his next volley.
if range is 60 ft to 30 ft., on my turn, I throw my handaxe. while it's traveling, i don't move and instead don my shield.

Yeah, I actually was entering a plus sign before the modifier of both the attack and damage and that caused the roller to ignore it. Lesson learned.
