Genken, the lock seems well-fortified, and you aren’t quite able to get it open.
Ondrej, you tug on the vines, and they seem fairly sturdy. They don’t detach from the wall at all, and you see plenty of twists and knots that could be used as footholds
Arisys will also try to pick the lock on the chest. "One last attempt." She says as she deftly twists the thin picks in a circular motion. 15 (dex+prof)
The lock clicks open, and at the same time, a small blade pops out and jabs into your hand. You take 1 point of piercing damage. Additionally, make a con save (dc 10). On a fail, you take 1 poison damage.
Inside the chest, you see a large pile of gold coins and a handful of small black gems.

"Ouch!" Arisys exclaimed as the blade pierces her hand. "I wasn't expecting that. But look." She reaches into the chest holding up the coins and gems. "I was right."
"Are you alright?" Genken says as Arysis pulls her hand back from the pain, "I did say that I couldn't SEE any traps. But nice work on the lock. Shall we divvy out the coins?"
"Yes, fine. Although a little dizzy. Nothing I can't shack off." Arisys shakes her head. "There better. And Yes, let's divide up the coins." (How much did she find?)
"Then I think we should get out of here, before someone returns."
Ondrej climbs into the shaft and prepares to climb down, pausing to watch the scene around the chest with a bewildered look. After seeing Arisys shake off the effects of the trap, he waits a beat and then starts to descend.
Genken and Arisys, you count 320 gp in the chest, which divvies up to 80 each. There are 6 gems.
Ondrej, you begin your descent, and the vines hold steady under your weight. Glancing down, the bottom seems to be about 80 feet down, though it’s difficult to make out anything at the bottom.
Genken passes out the coin to the others, leaving the gems for Arysis to do with as she wishes. He looks over the edge of the hole to see Ondrej climbing down already. "Couldn't wait, huh?" He chuckles and he too begins his descent on a different vine. "You'd all better hurry before our friend leaves us all behind," he calls back to the others as he disappears over the edge.
You all climb down with relative ease. The walls of the shaft stop as you hit the ceiling of the room below, but the vines continue growing downwards, and you are not forced to drop to the floor. You find yourselves in the southwest corner of a large, square chamber. It appears to be some sort of garden - low plants and various fungi coat the ground and walls.
In the northwest corner, two skeletal figures stand facing away from you. They are currently in the process of shoveling soil out of a rusted wheelbarrow onto a plant bed. They don't immediately seem to notice your presence.
On the east side of the north wall, there is a large opening leading into what appears to be a natural cavern. There are two proper doors, one on the east side of the south wall, and one on the north side of the east wall.
Genken taps Ondrej on the shoulder silently and points to the two skeletons, then draws his clawed finger across his throat then ends it with a shrug. Do we take them out?
Ondrej releases the vine a few feet above the cavern floor and drops the rest of the way, looking back upwards and watching the rest of his companions finish the descent. When Genken points out the two figures across the room, he gently pulls out his newly acquired shield and longsword and waits beneath the shaft for everyone to arrive. Looking back at Genken, he gives an eager nod and looks around to the others for agreement.

Genken silently chuckles to himself, "Or maybe we should try talking first?" He whispers before he looks around the room before attempting to slink back into the shadows (Stealth: 17).
Genken attempts to open the chest, satisfied that he couldn't find any traps.
The chest is locked. You can attempt to pick it if you'd like.

Henkel pulls out his thieves tools to attempt the lock (Dex + Prof Thieves Tools: 8).
While Genken is working on the chest, Ondrej is testing the strength of the vines, preparing for the climb down.

"Worried someone might catch you red-handed?" Genken chuckles and helps Arysis with divvying up the find.

Arysis will pocket the coins and 2 gems leaving the rest in the chest. She will then hurry down behind Ondrej on the vines.

(note: sorry had seven days straight of overnight shifts.)
Summer had pocketed her share and remains towards the back of the group.
