Scattered across the tables are a wide variety of plants and fungi. You recognize several common species that grow above ground, though they all look much paler than you're used to seeing. Additionally, you are able to piece together the components of an herbalism kit if you'd like.
You all pass through the main chamber into the farthest room on the north wall, which your map shows will lead you onward. This small room appears to be some sort of storage closet, with swords, bows, arrows, and other supplies lining the walls. A single door is on the east wall.
Genken pauses a moment to look over the weapons. (Do any of the look better than what we already have?) He gathers up some more arrows, then looks to see if he can find any potions (Investigation: 18).
You don’t find any potions in the room. The weapons appear functional but battered, as if they’ve seen many years of use. You identify the swords as scimitars and the bows as shortbows.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Genken finishes his search, but finding no potions, shrugs a little disappointed. He turns to the others, "Need anything else, friends?" He smiles and makes his way to the east door and leans in close to listen for anything on the other side (Perception: 2).
The door is unlocked. You open it to see a short hallway leading into another large garden with a similar variety of plants and fungi to the one you first encountered. This room is longer and thinner - from your position in the storage closet, you can't see either the north or south ends. On the wall directly opposite of you, you can make out some carvings, though they're partially obscured by moss and you would have to get closer to see what they are. You see one skeletal gardener tending to a shrub towards the south.
Ondrej steps quietly into the room and watches the skeleton, waiting for it to notice them or make a move. If it keeps going about its business, he'll peer over Genken's shoulder at the map for an idea of which direction to head.
Genken looks around the room and then at the map to gather his bearings.
(OOC - looking at the map, and based on progression and descriptions, I think we're in the large room in the centre that looks like a cross or t? At the northern end, coming out of the small room on the west. So progressing forward would be north unless we wish to explore?)
Genken points to the northern wall and door leading out of the garden. "From what I can tell, the direct route is this way. South will take us to a couple of rooms that look like more gardens, but are ultimately dead ends," he whispers to the others.
(Yes, that's correct. Just to make things easier, I'm combining the two long vertical rooms in the center into one room, so there is no door in between them. Going north would take you towards the Grove, but you're welcome to explore any of the octagonal rooms to the east or south.)
Stepping into the room you see that it's very long, with the north and south walls over 100 feet away. The skeleton moves away from its position crouched in front of the bush and heads south towards a workbench, where a second gardener stands. Neither seem to notice or care about your presence.
Genken waits for a reply, but the sight of more skeletal gardeners urges his movement forward. He shrugs, clicks his fingers at the others to gather their attention as he slinks away to the north and hopefully to find the apple they searched for at the end of the labyrinth. He moves quietly and slowly, keeping an eye out for any more of the boney caretakers in the surrounding gardens.
You pass through the long garden without issue, following a narrow path cut between the plants. A third skeleton on the northern end is coating the soil around a withered sapling with some sort of white powder. You pause momentarily, but it pays you no mind, so you continue on. Reaching the door, you see that it is tall and wooden. It doesn't have a visible keyhole.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Genken pauses a moment to look over the door and listen for anything on the other side (Perception: 14), then turns back to the others. "Here goes all. Hold on to your breaches," he says with a chuckle. He attempts to push the door open, slowly and quietly.
You hear nothing on the other side, and the door swings open freely. Inside this room, the purple glow is even more evident, luminescent spores floating through the air. The ceiling is high and domed, and the walls are coated with fungi and lichen. Encompassing the northern half of the room is a patch of oversized mushrooms, ranging from a foot tall to well over ten feet. The air around them is hazy. There is a single door on the southwestern wall.
Genken covers his mouth with some cloth from his clothes, then motions for everyone to do the same. "Don't want to breath in whatever those spores are. Last thing we need is to get sick down here." He then slowly starts moving towards the other door on the southwestern wall, watching out for more of the skeletal gardeners.

Yes, Arisys will gather the plants and herbs necessary to make an herbalism kit.
She will then proceed forward with the rest of the group.

You don't hear anything coming from it.

"Sounds clear," Genken whispers to the others, "Continue?" And he tries the door to see if it's unlocked.

Summer stays in the rear to make sure nothing sneaks upon the party from behind.
