((OOC: @DM - can I ask, what would Robwin know of orcs from his decades of study and history? And what are orcs like in your world? Are they part of society? Are they vermin? Do people have dealings with them? Historically do we have treaties and truces with them? Can they be reasoned with? Just wondered what his/society’s view of them was in your world. Thanks))
((OOC: @LostLeonin, Fair enough; by Round 5 action, I believe the only Orc left in the room is the one guarding the stairs. Ikki finished off the one Wolfsong was engaged with.
Do you finish off the one at the stairwell? Do you pursue those that ran up the stairs?))
((in that case Wolfsong would go after the one at the stairwell to finish it off but would not follow the others up the stairs as his first thought would that the orcs were setting up a ambush. Then after hearing Robwin shout followed by the orc fleeing he would not pursue and stay at the base of the stairs.))
((OOC: Robwin, Eli, TT, and Rinn, Would probably know of Orcs as a brutal and evil race of tribal clans mostly from the north. You would know Elves and Dwarves have a long standing, severely negative opinion of them. It is very unlikely to you would have interacted with even a "half-orc" up to now. Robwin would probably know they did/do refer to themselves as Daraktan and at one time had a distinct written language.
I doubt Ikki would know more than a description of "Orcs" coming from the far south.
Northlanders like Blaire and Wolfsong know of Daraktan tribes their separate clans war with and others they trade with. Sometimes the lines between friend and foe depend on the resources. They both know of some clan member rumored to be Daraktan blood. Weather that was a positive or negative implication depend mostly on the speaker.
In my world/version of this realm, think the Neanderthal only plane shifted into a world they still would rather not be in. They trade wives and kin like most of the Elves, Dwarves, Humans and other races do. However, they don't have the same idea of distinction between races.
They do seem to have a might makes right mentality and prefer independent nomadic tribal clans. At least the ones above ground in these and more northern lands.
Again, think of the "knowledge" your city character has is based on the scholar who chose to put ink to paper and the ones who chose not to toss it in the fire.))
Party: This is Big Al’s ranch, 30 Mirtul, 1492 DR, Dusk is fast approaching.
Blaire light on her Warhammer as she drops it in its loop. "Robwin, I hope following your lead was a good call. I don't bloody want to smash anyone ain't cursedly begging for it. Still this lot raided this Ranch. Now, what? Anyone, hurt? WHERE'S RINN!"
Her voice started frustrated and tense and got louder and more aggressive than suddenly shifted into panic as she realized she didn't see Rinn.
Robwin looks in through the window and around him outside, and sees the dead orcs. He thinks he can hear some commotion upstairs, and outside.
He beckons Lia down, from where she’s been fluttering. “Fly up, high above the house...”, he tells her. “See what the orcs are doing around the house”.
And then, “If they flee, follow them, from above.... Stay high, stay out of view.... They’re heading to the trees. Watch where they go... Remember the route. Then just come back... Go my gorgeous girl. I’ll see you again soon”. He helps her up into the sky, by lofting her high above his head.
He watches her disappear up into the sky and over the house.
He looks around again with a sigh and a frown. Then makes his way in through the door to find the rest of his party.
((OOC: my thinking with Lia, is for her to stay as high as she can whilst still keeping sight of the fleeing orcs. I’m guessing that’s high initially, and then probably only 120ft when it gets dark as that’s her darkvision range. She has +3 and advantage on perception checks if it’s needed. I’d just like to know the direction the orcs go, and if she can keep sight of them, where they end up, then head back. Robwin will leave her to it and see her when she gets back))
Laughing morosely, Eli gets a wall candle lamp lit.
"I cannot see well in the dark and the light just walked outside.", he says facing TT and Robwin.
This room contains two wooden trestle tables flanked by benches. Cattle skulls on the walls add to the decor. There are candle lamps like the one Eli just lit hung beside each door and window. The two south facing windows are smashed out. Wolfsong is standing over a body at the open stairwell in the southeast corner. A small door just to his left is open showing a dark closet. A window on the far east wall is untouched. Two windows spaced on the northeast side of the room face north onto a raised patio. The north door Eli is standing at and Robwin is at the west door to this room.
Eli is taking the candle from this lamp and lighting the others before returning it to its seat.

Rinn had put away his short bow once he realised all the orcs were running. He leaves the interior exploration to the others, instead looking around the outside of the house, to see if he finds any other bodies, collecting his arrows and searching the orcs for anything of value as he goes (Perception: 14, Investigation: 20 - let me know if there's any other rolls you want).
(OOC - his illusion would also have dropped at the end of combat too.)
Rinn: Given your dark vision, you have no trouble reviewing the area. The dead Orcs in front of the house have two heavy think hay saws that have been wrapped with leather to wield as swards, an iron great axe a couple standard daggers and there are a couple Javlin through just minutes ago at Robwin from the window. Their clothing are old, musty leathers.
While your inspecting, Blaire exists the house to be sure you're in one piece.
"Want to come with me to get the livestock?", she asks as she heads that way.
Ikki intones that he'd like to search the ranch for the hiding, hurt and killed. Not wanting to go alone, in the meantime, he'll start dragging dead orcs out of the house and making a pile in the yard.
Wolfsong walks over to Robwin, "I agree with Blaire, you are taking a gamble with lives and land that are not your own. The orcs fled after the hunt turned against them, were it my tribe we would return with greater numbers and greater strength, pray that is not the case here."
Wolfsong then goes over to each of the orcs he killed, breaks off one of each of their tusks, after doing so Wolfsong gives a short prayer to the body, "Though it was short you made for a good hunt, may you find solace in the Wilds."
((OOC: FYI - It will take Blaire (and Rinn if he follows) about forty-five minutes to collect the horses and cow and get back. The light cantrip lasts an hour on her Warhammer. When it ends, she'll cast it again.))
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
TT will follow Wolfsong to each of the bodies and offer her own prayers for their souls, she's sure they have them, "Let you be judged according to how you lived"
She will then begin to search the house for survivors and signs of what happened
TT: Assuming you have a light. It is dark now. The front door enters into the kitchen. You find a large stew (smells nice) simmering at the fire. There is a large butter churn, worktables, shelves of foodstuffs and ale, and hanging pots and pans. Atop a small table is a skull-shaped wooden butter mold. The back side door of the Kitchen exists into a Foyer sparsely furnished. Up the stairs you come into a common room. Padded chairs are pushed against the walls in make shift beds. There are game tables arranged about this room. Scattered on the floor are Three-Dragon Ante playing cards and wooden Dragonchess pieces. You can see at the top of the stairs to your left is a hall. the first door on your left is a large room. A large bed and a bulky cedar wardrobe dominate this room, which also has framed paintings of landscapes hanging on the walls. It seems clear to you so far that the Orcs were making a bit of a home out of the ranch house.
There are three small rooms containing two beds and two footlockers. The footlockers are tossed open. The room right next to the larger bedroom looks like the footlocker was used as a crib. The last room on the top floor left of the hall appears to be an office. Directly across from the office is the stairs going down to the southeast corner and a closet with cleaning supplies (mop, bucket, etc.).
That is your cursory review of the house with your high investigation. Do you want to go back through any particular room?

Blaire passes Robwin on his way into the house as she exits looking for Rinn to be sure he's well.
Eli is going to start looking over the room and the bodies. (Investigation: (3) )

Its dark. You can hear the sounds of the Orcs you allowed to flee doing so. You start hearing quieter sounds; crickets; chickens; pigs; a cat.
Robwin calls out around the house, “Is the house clear? Everyone okay?? Rinn?...”.
”Any sign of Big Al??...”.
He’ll wait for the party to regroup, then they can maybe think about searching for survivors.
