"Assuming one of our kind dwarven hosts here had been willing to carve a stone for you," Kaemgen adds a bit grimly.
"Speaking of which, do you two care to join us on our journey? We'll eventually be back to Phandalin and there is safety in numbers," he adds. "Don't forget, there is a dragon been spotted prowling around this region..."
Xenophon will claim the plate armor and take some time to put it on and place his old armor with the rest of the loot unless someone wants it. "That should keep a few hits from comin' my way, which should hopefully make healin' less of a need, at least on my end."

Xenophon: Topaz Dragonborn Fighter (ixi's Dragon of Icespire Peak)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Come morning Norbus would be the last one up, mumbling and grumbling all the way. The most polite thing he'd do would be to grunt in acknowledgement to Kaemgen for the coffee. Other than that, he kept to himself and prepped his and Dazlyn's gear. He knew if he waited for his partner to prep his own stuff, they'd be there all morning with the way that man engaged him in conversation.
Dazlyn's eyes beamed with awe as he'd watch Xenophon dawn such flawless armour. He'd take a moment to encircle the dragonborn even. Giving a nod of approval to him and Hansel, not that they needed it, he'd skip off to help himself to the offered breakfast. It was better than what Norbus ever made for him in the mornings. Between bites of food, the archaeologist would nod along to Kaemgen's question. "Aye, we'll come with you for most of the trek. Though, if you're stopping at the Hill, we'll veer from there to get back to Phandalin a bit sooner. We're due to report back to our investor." Once Dazlyn felt the familiar burning stare at the back of his skull, he knew it was time to go. He'd pop up to his feet. "Shall we then?"

Glad to be back in the open air, Hansel nonetheless is still a little nervous about the threat of a dragon, and regularly checks the group's rear to be sure (and often checks his own rear just cos it's so pretty)
Perception: 22

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Mr.Dark, now paranoid about some unseen follower keeps his eyes peeled as the party is finally packed and ready to go. He had to remember he wasn't in the army anymore, a leisurely breakfast and drinks and a slow pack seemed in the cards, in contrast to him with his packed bag, standing and ready to depart. He slowly relaxes and joins in on the coffee, thanking folks for the food and drink.
As they go, he keeps his eyes peeled: 20

What's the difference between a Wizard and a Sorcerer? Class.
Kaemgen accepts that he’s more used to the more comfortable life and isn’t particularly good at outdoor skills. Still and all, he will help where he can and another pair of eyes seldom hurts.
He makes amiable conversation during the journey with all, lots of talk about nothing in particular to pass the time. Mostly though, he’s just happy to be in the sunshine where, presumably, molds and jellies downy grow…
Scott kindly asks Auric for the map and after studying it for a few moments with Xeno says, “We should head in a generally north easterly direction.” After noting the suns location. Points roughly back down the path they took to get to the excavation and adds, “It’s that way...”
After pouring over the map with Xeno, Scott was easily able to point you all in the right direction. It was practically the same route you took to get there with the exception of taking a right instead of a left at one point in the trail when they'd be only about two hours from Phandalin. With everyone eager to head out, and efficiently guided, you all make great time along the familiar trail. Though, the trek seemed quiet considering the treasure haul you all were carrying. None the less, it allowed for Hansel and Mr. Dark to focus on their own checks from their own unique perspectives. Hansel's rear was safely guarded and Dark could cover that, and everything else. He was that vigilant.
Seeing the break in the trail, Scott points it out prior to leading you down the path you're headed. Mr. Dark, you see a raven perched atop a tree at the fork. When you make eye contact with it, it takes off to the skies.
Umbrage Hill
Eventually, the slop of Umbrage Hill begins creeping into view with an old stone windmill that sits atop, surrounded by an iron fence. As the group emerges, Mr. Dark and Hansel both spot a large winged monster with a spiky tail turning it's attention back to trying to knock down the windmill’s front door. Both are certain it saw the group and knows you're there. A woman appears in a second-floor window, waving frantically in your direction.
At that point about two hours from Phandalin, Kaemgen take a few moments to say goodbye to the dwarves. He assures them that they will surely catch up again in town and that it was a grand little exploring they did together. Throughout the good-bye Kaemgen had an inner debate going on inside his head, the thoughts of their original meeting repeating in his head. In the end greed didn't win out, for he truthfully didn't know which was the more profitable option. Instead it was just easier not to choose right now... He could pass that on to the others in a short while.
So after Dazlin and Norbus have departed, Kaemgen waits five or ten minutes and then coughs to get the others attention. "We had made a deal with those two," he says, nodding back towards the way they came to indicate the dwarves. "We were to split the treasure 50/50 between the groups, and they were to throw in those Sending Stones they showed us. Yet they still have the stones and we have the treasure...Anyone know which side is making out better on the oversight?"
((If I missed the dwarves getting a share of treasure, ignore that and I'll just instead point out the lack of us getting the sending stones?))
---
Once Kaemgen himself gets a view of what is going on, there is little question of what to do. With a monster at the door and a woman desperate for saving, Kaemgen draws his rapiers and rushes forward!
”Let us sally forth and slay this pernicious beast, companions mine!” calls the golden Dragonborn, moving ahead and a bit to the side to get a clear shot at the winged beast and loosing a torrent of eldritch energy!
If he can get within 120 feet:
Wrath of the Dragon (Eldritch Blast): Attack: 18 Damage: 13 force damage and 10 foot knock back if it hits.

Casting Bless on the three non-dragonborns.

Mr.Dark's first order of business upon seeing the lizard creature assaulting the tower is to turn to Scott. "Don't you think for a second that I don't blame you for this."

Hairs on the back of the beast visibly stand on end when it senses an oncoming threat. It's tail would flick to and fro before it'd begin to raise up to provide a clear view of it's arsenal of spikes. It's eyes would narrow on the group, scanning each of you individually. Cold, intelligent eyes were judging you, head quirking when the human would dare question it.

Large!? Excuse me-!? It's first reaction was to hiss in a quick defense. Then... Blep. The feline head would tilt as if it were taking a moment to compute. Did he say magnificent though? He did. Well that was really nice... The creatures demeanor would begin to soften. As if almost shamefully, it'd glance down and nudge a rock with its paw. "I didn't lose a key! I lost my home... My mate...
