In his own ear-ringing world, Oak thinks to himself that he could happily chop undead down forever and he wouldn’t get bored!... He continues chopping... ((He’ll aim for the sparkly ones first. If he runs out of those, just use the first roll))
Aimon climbs up on to the collapsed stalk to get a sense of the situation they're in still. It looks like the number of screamers has fallen and Oak is happily, if any one in a rage can appear happy, hack and slashing away at him, almost as if this was just a satisfying days work.
Moving quickly around the group attacking, Oak, Aimon drops down and swings Dawnbringer hard at the torso of any that are still standing.
Attack: 17 Damage: 10 plus radiant damage from Dawnbringer of 1 and Sneak Attack (using Oak's attacks to give himself more time to find weak spots) damage of 7 for total damage of 18.
Then he disengages again and climbs back up on top of the collapsed stalk, trying to keep his distance from the screamers (Cunning Action to Disengage).

Already deafened, but con save anyways: 14
Caelynn continues to throw daggers into the horde still surrounding Oak. As she's doing this, she performs a quick head count and is relieved to see that everyone is still relatively unharmed, at least by their standards. Oak seems content in the middle of the fray, Aimon darting in and out from behind the mushroom, and Trill flitting somewhere above them.

((I've been meaning to mention this earlier, but I kept forgetting. The deafened effect of these creature will stack. 1 fail is 1 hour of deafness, 2 fails is 1 day of deafness, 3 fails is 1 week of deafness, and 4 fails is permanent deafness.))
Flying safely above the melee, Trill launches another bolt that sinks into the pale flesh of one of the monsters. Caelynn springs forward to the one Trill injured and buries her dagger between its empty eyes, and it spasms as it does. Sensing weakness, Aimon slashes out and pierces one of the monster's black heart with his blade of radiance. It falls to the ground and dies for a second time. Oak swings out with his axes shreds an undead as its body shakes with its death throes. Only one remains (unglowing), and it continues its assault on Oak, oblivious to how outnumbered it is.

Seeing the last one miss Oak, Aimon leaps down, taking advantage of its off balance swing, he slashes Dawnbringer down across the torso of the screamer attempting to finally end this.
Attack: 20 Damage: 10 plus 1 Radiant damage plus 6 Sneak Attack Damage
Aimon then disengages until he’s sure it’s finished.
Realizing that her friends can probably handle the one remaining creature, Caelynn starts looking for the chest again, walking back and forth across the room until she hits it with her feet. She notices that she still can't hear anything, which is odd...
As the last undead leaps through the air towards Oak with its flaws outstretched, he brings his axe down upon it and slams it into the ground. As It struggles to rise, Aimon pierces it through the back, and it stops struggling as its scream fades to a whimper.
Trill flies about, looking for anything dangerous, but she finds nothing.
Caelynn shuffles around the room, and she eventually bumps into the chest lying atop a bed of dark green moss. She feels it over and finds no damage to the chest.
Now that you have a moment to look around, you notice that the undead appear to be made of different bodies spasm stitched together with black thread. At the base of the neck, there is a small symbol branded into the pale flesh of each creature that looks similar to three slash marks running across a grinning skull.
"I found the chest! Is everyone okay?" Caelynn tells the group, trying to use a normal volume but definitely speaking louder than she should. She picks up the chest so they don't lose it again. "Can you guys hear me? I can't hear me."
Oak looks around, both hand axes held out, his rage fading. He starts shaking his head and rubbing his ears. As he sees Caelynn speaking with no sound, he even try’s equalising the pressure in his ears by holding his nose and snorting, but to no avail. His ears just ring regardless. He tries to mime that he can’t hear whilst shaking his head and accidentally shouting “I CAN’T HEAR YOU!”.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY? I CAN'T HEAR ANYTHING!" Caelynn shouts back. She sees Oak trying the trick with holding his nose, so she does too, but it doesn't seem to help at all.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Aimon picks up his bow and then looks from Oak to Caelynn and back again.
”Well, this should be fun,” he says to Trill.
He takes a close look at the brands on the necks of the creatures.
“So somebody made these creatures?”
He conducts a quick search to see if they have anything else on them that indicates anything more about their origin, given the “silent” one an even closer look.

Trill lands and sketches the mark in her journal.
She runs through a series of tones from low to high pitched, and upon seeing that they are deafened, will write in her journal.
Oh no! Hopefully it gets better, but maybe we can find someone to cure it for you. I had an uncle that went deaf... really bad for a kenku, he kind of went a bit nuts after that. Please don't go nuts!

Aimon, you take a close look at the one that is silent. The limbs have been created by stitching several sections of limbs to make them unnaturally long and slender. You discover the symbol on its neck, and you see that this one's mouth is stitched shut with thick, black threads. Besides that, you find nothing else.
Trill recalls that in order to enter the tunnels, Drokki had to cut his hand open and run his blood across the stones. Perhaps that needs to happen to exit as well.
As you ponder what to do next, those who still have their hearing hear a slight rumbling sound. Looking around, you see that a section of moss on a wall parts as the huge, green caterpillar from before slinks out. It slowly moves with its many pattering feet to the closest body. You see a growth of white tentacles with yellow tips emerge from under its mouth that poke and prod the bodies as it checks them. It opens its toothy maw and begins chewing away, ripping into the dead flesh of your enemies. It pays you no attention, but if you approach it, it hisses at you.
“We deliver all this food and that’s the thanks we get?” Aimon says to the caterpillar. “No wonder you’re not ruling the world.”
He gestures to Oak and Caelynn to come with Trill and himself on their way out of the chamber. But then stops remembering that Caelynn’s sense of where they are down here is better than any of there’s and gestures for her to take the lead.
If it’s easier for Aimon to carry the chest than Trill he will offer to carry it.
As he stows Dawnbringer, he thanks the sword for her help with the undead, letting her know he wouldn’t have survived that without her help.
"I'll try not to," Caelynn responds with a chuckle after reading Trill's note, still a bit louder than she should be but not yelling anymore. "Hopefully this doesn't last for too long..."
She zones out a bit, trying to recall which way to go and not even noticing the creature behind them, until she's brought back to focus by Aimon gesturing at her. It takes her a moment to process it, but eventually realization dawns on her face. "Right. This way." She tries to lead them through the tunnels back to where they originally entered.
((Caelynn is great at figuring out where she is, but I'm not. Are we somewhere around 1b or 3? And we could just follow the tunnel out until we hit the blood wall, which Caelynn wouldn't know what to do with, but just for reference.))
((The fight occurred in 1b near the tunnel to 3. The entrance of the tunnels is area 1))
Using her keen senses, Caelynn looks around at her surroundings and remember which way she needs to go. Luckily, the way you entered is nearby, but a dark stone wall greets you with stony silence.
