Tana nods at Raine's suggestion. "That sounds reasonable. I would rather make certain that there are no Giants remaining inside the stronghold, but sifting through the treasures is only fair. I wonder who they stole these from," he says, glancing at the gemstones.
"My concern is that some servant will find the remains of the manticores and alert the entire fortress. Would it sound sensible to wait until the festivities of the Giants have concluded and hopefully catch them one at a time in a more inebriated state as opposed to fending off the entire stronghold?"
“I agree. We could move through the rest of the stronghold and neutralize whatever else is a threat to the outside before engaging the main dining hall,” Afamrail says.
He thinks for a moment.
“The kitchen staff might be of some help. From what was described in your vision, they did not sound like they were serving voluntarily.”
He gestures to the passage he just looked at.
”I did not find anything there, but I had trouble focusing. I think it would be valuable for one of you to also take a look before we head back upstairs to make sure we have not missed anything. There were more traps and secret doors here than in the areas upstairs.”
Then he looks at the manticores carcasses.
”We came down a hidden passage to get here. I suspect servants do not frequent this area.”
Afamrail starts up the stairs back to the main floor.
"If we are to deal with all threats in this stronghold, let us start with the closest," he says as he walks. "The creatures we heard moving around on the other side of the double doors on the north end of the chief's suite of rooms."
Afamrail continues forward through the hidden door, through the next room, and then cautiously into the main room of the chief. Looking around to make sure it's empty, he makes his way to the double doors to the north and listens to see if the sounds of paws/claws is still there.
He looks back over his shoulder to see if Raine, Risha, Tana, or Zuril have any objection to opening the door and dealing with whatever they find on the other side.
"How do you want to do this? Risha and Tana through first, and then have the rest of us fan out behind them?"
Raine hesitates. "They sound like animals. I'd hate to kill them, especially if they've been trapped here like the manticores. But, if you feel it's necessary, I'll be behind you."
“I think one way or the other we need to open this door and deal with what is out there. If we do not need to kill them, like the bear, that would be preferable. But the giants may be using whatever is on the other side to hurt the people of this area.”
He looks to Risha, wanting to make sure she is ready before Tana pushes the door open.
Raine shakes her head. "Tana, maybe you could try yelling commands to them in Giant?" She suggests, voice low. "I would do it myself, but I feel like your voice is probably closer to what they're used to hearing."
You don't find anything else.
(OOC with that roll I'd be surprised if Afamrail found his way back to the stairs)
Tana nods at Raine's suggestion. "That sounds reasonable. I would rather make certain that there are no Giants remaining inside the stronghold, but sifting through the treasures is only fair. I wonder who they stole these from," he says, glancing at the gemstones.

"That all sounds reasonable. I can take a look at the hallway, if you'd like."
Raine checks the hall for any hidden panels or doors.

"I don't think there's anything else here," Raine tells the others.

As Afamrail reaches the top of the stairs, and before pushing open the hidden door he turns to the others.
"Any other suggestions on where to go first? Does anyone want to take the lead?"
Afamrail continues forward through the hidden door, through the next room, and then cautiously into the main room of the chief. Looking around to make sure it's empty, he makes his way to the double doors to the north and listens to see if the sounds of paws/claws is still there.
There is nobody in the room, and you do hear the paws.
He looks back over his shoulder to see if Raine, Risha, Tana, or Zuril have any objection to opening the door and dealing with whatever they find on the other side.
"How do you want to do this? Risha and Tana through first, and then have the rest of us fan out behind them?"
Tana holds his greataxe and nods to Afamrail. "Sounds fine with me."
Raine hesitates. "They sound like animals. I'd hate to kill them, especially if they've been trapped here like the manticores. But, if you feel it's necessary, I'll be behind you."

She sighs. "I suppose." Straightening up, she moves into position. "I'm ready when you are."

Tana will open the door.
Inside this room is fourteen wolves are running around, playing or sleeping in the huge room.
Afamrail whispers to the others, “have any of you handled animals like this?”
Raine shakes her head. "Tana, maybe you could try yelling commands to them in Giant?" She suggests, voice low. "I would do it myself, but I feel like your voice is probably closer to what they're used to hearing."
