Raine steps to the front of the group. "Well met, Darthorm," she starts, bowing to the leader. "I am Raine, and this is Afamrail and Tana. Like your friend here said, we want to help you. We came here today intending to take down the giants, unaware that a rebellion was already forming. Alone, either of our groups might succeed, but working together I truly believe we could defeat them and free your people. We would be most grateful if you would partner with us."
Afamrail watches the orcs carefully, watching their body language and any movements. Despite the number of times he's encountered orc raiding parties, he never managed to learn their language.
Afamrail looks over at Tana as they move to follow Raine and the orcs.
"I can not say I envisioned meeting an orc general when this began or that we would be considering them as allies," he says quietly to Tana.
Afamrail wonders what his superiors in the Silver Guardians would make of this. They had no love for orcs. But you use the tools available to you he rationalizes to himself.
The orc guard leads you over to a large orc standing over a table with different rocks placed on it randomly. When you reach the general, the guard says "Guests, here to help." With that the general take three more rocks from a bucket of rocks he has under his table and places it on the table.
Afamrail inwardly sighs when he sees the rocks and presumes that is the sum total of the plan the orcs have. At best we'll be able to use them as a distraction. But they were going to have to be careful. The giants were sloppy in their defense and security of this place. If the orcs knew that they would likely be able just to gather their whole group together and walk out the front doors without offering any real help.
He leans in close to Tana and Raine.
"What should we try to get them to do?" he whispers. "If we can clear out this underground area before heading back to the main hall upstairs, we don't have to worry about reinforcements coming up behind us. Then what? Do we try and get this group to join in taking on the main group of giants?"
"It sounded like they had some semblance of a plan. I'll ask what it is, and if it seems terrible we can work something out," Raine whispers back. The diagram is a bit crude, sure, but it's not like they have many materials to work with down in this cavern. She's learned in her time never to underestimate someone, whether they be foe or ally.
"Well met, General. Would you mind telling us your plan of attack so we know how best to assist you?"
"Plan," The orc responds moving rocks around, "Prisons close. Free prisoners, and then take bottom floor while giant having feast!" Moving the rocks around more.
"Are there many giants on the bottom floor? And what happens once we've done that?" Raine asks, looking at the diagram and attempting to make sense of it.
Afamrail looks around the chamber they're in trying to gauge how many other orcs may be here.
"How far are the prisons from here?" Afamrail asks, looking to Raine in case the orc general doesn't understand Common. "And how many warriors do you have ready to fight?"
(Apologies for not posting in a bit; the past week's been rough for me.)
Tana hopes, at best, that the Orcs will provide a distraction for the Giants. He knows that the three of them cannot defeat them all at once, so splitting up may be a necessity. He agrees with clearing out the basement while the Giants are feasting above, and asks Raine to relay the question of if the Orcs can prevent any Giant from entering the basement, through violent or persuasive means.
"I am no general or tactician," he says. "But the narrow hallways and limited number of paths restrict our options greatly. I think, once we involve all of the orcs we will need to just move quickly and hit hard. The danger is our actions here being discovered before we get everyone upstairs. If the giants control our access back to the surface, we could be in trouble."
He looks to the general and the other orcs.
"We could ask them to guard the giants we have with us and then we could clear out any guards around the prison and make sure we have a clear path back to the surface before involving the orcs."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Taking the silence as agreement, Afamrail quietly moves back up the passage way they came down and slips past the blockage and scouts ahead to look for any doorways they missed on the rush to get to the orc's camp, or signs of other guards between them and the prisons.

Tana rests his hands off his weaponry, attempting to appear unthreatening. Goliaths were related to Giants, and he didn't want the Orcs to panic.
"Well then," Darthorm pauses, "We have guests! Go to the general Luktwer and talk to him he'll tell you the plans."
“Thank you,” Raine says with a smile and another small bow. “This is greatly appreciated.”
Turning to Tana and Afamrail, she says, “They agreed to help. We’re going to meet with their general now.”
Switching back to Orc, she asks the guard, “Would you show us the way?”

In response to the questions, the giant answers
" Only couple hallways down."
"Twenty eight, including general and me."
To this question, you see worry on the generals face, "Hopefully"

Looking through you see one door you missed in the walk to get here on the path, and the bodies of bugbears have been replaced by another bugbear.
Afamrail creeps up to the door they passed by and listens for any sound on the other side.
