“For a séance?”Salazar looks truly puzzled and the effect is comical in the whirling hurry-gurdy glare cast by his still-spinning flail.“I do not know or care how you intend to use a possessed weapon to contact the spirits of the deceased, but whatever you wish to do, do it quick. I can only block them for so long!”
Ord allows himself a quick smile as one of the swords crashes inanimate to the ground.
Turning his attention quickly to the final sword, he summons Amaunator's radiance to smite it. Amaunator strike my foe and show it that you are the Light in the Darkness!
A pillar of flame erupts, engulfing the sword.
Ord casts sacred flame. I believe that the sword has already made its Dex save.
The swords dance and try to dodge as they can, but nevertheless, they are hit by several strong attacks from the weapon users. In retaliation against Salazar their attacks are futile as they simply clang off of his strong defenses... but can he maintain them?
Round 3 Ends, Round 4 Begins
Current Status of Players: Salazar: In melee with the swords, 12/12 HP, blessed - + 1d4 to attack rolls & saving throws Lesley: In the front, 7/7 HP, blessed - + 1d4 to attack rolls & saving throws Ord: In front of Salazar, 11/11 HP Paulo: Last, 10/10 HP, blessed - + 1d4 to attack rolls & saving throws
Current Status of Enemies: Flying Sword 1: In melee with Salazar, Near "Death" -- 15 damage taken, Prone -- Can only crawl (and "stand up"), dis. on attacks, grants adv. on attacks from 5 ft. away, all others are at dis. Flying Sword 2: In melee with Salazar & Paulo, Near "Death" -- 16 damage taken
“We have you now, feckless constructions!” Salazar’s confidence is premature.
His strike at the right sword misses, snapping on nothing but air. He follows with a second swipe of his shield, but the sword strikes the boss harder, leaving Salazar’s arm smarting.
Paulo dips back to avoid the sword as it swings on sally again. Seeing an opening, Paulo lunges forward and his rapier lands, striking the flying sword just under the pommel. The sword falls to the ground as if an invisible hand dropped it.
Seeing an opportunity arise as Paulo has eliminated the other sword, Lesley hoists his staff and swings it toward the floating blade... However, the literal living sword seems to be far more skilled in melee than a bugbear with a big stick and easily parries the attack. Thinking for a moment, Lesley determines that in order to program a sword like this, one would need access to both fifth level magic and the ability to make it permanent.
With a sword destroyed by the combined attacks of the group one sword has been sundered, and yet one still remains. It attacks once more, and yet it is unable to pull off a successful stab against Salazar's (apparent) mastery of defense.

“These swords seem menacing but they only attack from positions one, three, and seven. Doesn’t take a priest of the Red Knight to work out this defense.”
Salazar demonstrates with a quick side step, then a counter strike with the red shield. Perfectly aimed, it sends the sword wobbling, and Salazar sends this longsword into the wall as well.

The tiny dragon stares at Salazar, and he then hears in his head: "... Fine." then nods to all of you: "Good job against those wards, but we still have some ways to go. Now past this door lie several more defenders... be as silent as possible, and they might just not notice you." She then curls up back into Paulo's shoulder waiting for you all to continue.
With a nod of acknowledgement to Elonast, Salazar pulls the still glowing flail up and behind his new favorite shield, then follows Paulo, his well made boots whispering over the floor.
You begin to crouch and move forward... As the door beyond opens, a foul odor meets your nostrils. This crumbling hall has a large curve and the stench seems to come from cracks in the ceiling. You then hear Elonast's voice once more: "These defenders are undead monstrosities called Ghouls. They have the ability to paralyze with but a single touch, so be careful." Her voice is then cut short by the sound of a gross duet of gnashing teeth and guttural throat sounds which comes from around the bend. As you all try to sneak to the next door (directed to it by Elonast) the terrible noxious smell threatens to make all of you retch and give away your position. I need constitution saves against the poisoned condition from all of you.

Careful, Lesley! Perhaps let the rougher souls antagonise the sword?
Let Amaunator's Light purge this wicked magic!

Ord cheers loudly. Well done! By the Light you fight well, Salazar! The swords were no match for your strength!
Ord begins hopping around mimicking poorly Salazar's battle moves.
But he then stops dead, remembering his station. He quickly kisses his finger and touches it to the embossed sun on his helm and mutters a prayer.
Is anyone hurt?
Lesley looks himself over, smooths his fur, ”No, oddly enough. It would seem that those swords were, in fact, the worst swords in existence. Thank you though.”
