Arthasis doesn't notice anything unusual about the bed, beyond it being a mangled mess after the explosion.
Aeros, however, in his inspection of the walls, notices signs of simultaneous multiple explosions at various points along the walls. Upon further inspection, he notices something strange amidst the rocky debris. Within the loose rock lies a strange, flat automaton about the size of a dinner plate. It appears to be made from iron, resembles some sort of crab, and is obviously badly damaged. It certainly is no longer functional. Looking up towards the skylight, Aeros would notice that it is small enough to have fit through the opening.
Though on her way out, Yinra pauses at Menodora's words, her face changing from bored to immediately interested at the word 'gold.' She looks Menodora up and down for a moment, wavering, before her greed overtakes her sense. "Aren't you a charmer," she purrs, eyes narrowing. "I'm afraid I work alone - less chance of someone messing up the hunt that way, but if you're offering gold, I might be persuaded to....cooperate and share some evidence," she pauses, then smiles with enough teeth that Menodora is instinctively aware it isn't a nice smile. "For a price, of course. A girl has to eat."
Menodora narrows her eyes at the woman. Nonetheless, she reaches into her pocket and retrieves the full amount gold she had received from the Watchmaster -- dangling it slightly between she and the woman.
"Information first for my comrades and I, then consider it yours....friend."
There's just something about Menodora that seems to have piqued Yinra's interest. She eyes her for a moment longer before shrugging and tugging the charred paper back out of her pocket. "This is all I've found of substance; it seems Zabriss had a benefactor in her escape, though who it could be, I'm afraid I don't yet know," she explains, handing over the paper before snatching the bag of gold from between Menodora's fingers. She hums over it for a moment before rolling her eyes and counting out 100 gold pieces and pocketing it; the rest she tosses back to Menodora with a wink and a smirk. "Good hunting...friend."
Looking at the paper, Menodora can make out the following:
Menodora restrains an eye-roll but maintains an almost exaggerated pockets her remaining gold, before looking over the charred remains of paper. Her nose wrinkles at the gaps in the paper as she quietly reads it over.
"Well, there was a magic ring involved? Maybe. And a warning to stand back," she summarizes, before taking an obvious glance around the ruins of the cell. She holds the paper delicately out to any of her compatriots who wish to look it over.
"Someone was also involved. Like she said."

"It's seems I've found something as well" Aeros adds on afterwards pointing to the small contraption he discovered, "She definitely had help. Probably from a tinkerer in town based off of this little thing."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Eryn looks at the charred piece of paper [OOC: I will assume he can read it, but just to be sure, is it written in common rather than some regional language.]
Then a thought occurs to him and he looks more closely to try to work out whether the note was accidentally damages in the blast or someone deliberately tried to destroy it.

"The bed...", Arthasis sighed, "Well, it's nothing there." After he concluded his search he returned to the others adressing Menodora. "I can't believe you paid that insolent wench." He took a closer look at the parchment. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like we will find Zabriss, wherever this 'humble domain' is, that is mentioned."
Menodora scowls a little at Arthasis' comment. "Well, that so-called insolent wench gave us the note. Which might be nothing, but it's still something. Clearly, something enough that she was willing to keep it to herself to beat us to finding Zabriss."
Folding her arms across her chest, she peers over at the item that Aeros has found.
"Can anyone tell if that thing was magical? You know, before it.....was broken."

"It would seem to me that this Zabriss is not the mastermind here," says Eryn, puzzling aloud over the meaning of the note [OOC: rather than being concerned about its very existence]. "It would also seem that she has been rescued by someone she does not know rather than someone from her own organisation."
He then turns to look blankly at the crushed automaton that Aeros had discovered and then just simply shrugs, his thoughts elsewhere.
"The mention of a ring is also puzzling," he says, continuing to think aloud. "My first thought was that it might be how a goliath—who was not known to be a spell caster—could create a fog cloud. But, from the warning in the note to 'stand back', it would seem there was no time and not enough information given in the note for Zabriss to either know or discover this... Which means the ring must be for something else... Perhaps a means of identifying the wearer so that they will be given free passage or perhaps seen as a friend rather than an enemy."
"And," he adds in finishing, "I do not understand the use of the words 'humble domain'... Why not something more common like 'humble abode'."
He then shrugs once more and says, "But then again, perhaps I am overthinking things..."
Stepping outside, he examines the ground looking for signs of the red mud that was caked on the feet of the kobold he examined earlier. He is not a tracker, but surely there might be a trail to follow for someone who is.

"These deductions seem sound. I believe you are correct. As I feared, it looks like this individual was broken out by an specialist, rather than a mage. Perhaps an artificer? For all we know, that ring Zabriss received was able to cause the fog cloud that we ran into, and Zabriss herself is not magical at all, though we should assume she is. I'm afraid this humble domain is not much of a lead either." Keaton pulls out a simple pipe, fills it, and then, using a specialized glove, snaps his fingers to create a spark and light it. Taking a long pull in order to think, he says, "I think our rival has stripped this place of clues. My question is, where do the Kobolds come in? Were they prisoners as well or were they part of the rescue attempt?"

Seeing Menodora's scowl, Arthasis immediately realised that the anger inside prompted him to talk more openly than he would have liked. "Pardon.", he tried to excuse his outburst. "It's already late and I got irked by her demeanour." He offered a rueful smile and then took a look at the device Aeros had recovered. The industries of Hupperdook were known to produce such gadgets and it appeared plausible to him, that someone in the city also manufactured this one. "Maybe we should ask around in the workshops. Someone had to produce the things they used to break Zabriss out of the prison after all."
"That sounds like as good a plan as any." Aeros agrees "Do you think any of those places will be open at this hour though? We are in the city of Carpe Noctis after all. There's a high probability that all the tinkerers are a couple pitchers deep at this point. Maybe it would be best to pick up our search tomorrow?" he ask the party. "Besides, the Watchmaster never gave us a time limit and I never did get that drink..." he adds half-jokingly chuckling to himself.
Eryn looks in through the destroyed wall from where he was looking for tracks and asks, "I don't suppose anyone has skills at tracking? If there is a physical trail to be followed, now is the time to follow it. The streets are empty and so the trail won't be obscured by foot traffic and the red mud that was caked on the feet of the kobolds should make it easier."

"It's ok," she nods at Arthasis, a small smile replacing at sign of annoyance as his comments.
"Not that I can be certain of it, but perhaps those that might like to partake in a drink, might be able to find someone who saw something. There might be someone up there more....open to tell us things they wouldn't normally if they were less inebriated."
She shrugs, "But following the trail might also be logical. Splitting up might not be the smartest given the object of our pursuits, but it could expedite things."
"Yes I agree, staying together is probably our best course of action." Pausing a moment to sigh, "And I suppose we might as well check on this trail first and see if it leads anywhere useful."
