Freak you see nobody you recognise in the room and no sign of anyone observing from the shadows. It would appear you are truly free. Other than the axe you have, you do spot an iron bar nearby, which would act as a nice club at a pinch.
Mobile~ Hitticus flips his handaxe out of his belt and hands it handle first to Freak. "No masks here friend. Take this, wouldn't be right to leave you to fight empty handed." Hitticus gives the captive a long once over before adding. "Just don't hack me in the back with it." Hitticus then turns to Randrak "Not the time, we'll sort out personal enemies later, for now we should focus on the common one."

Mercwri looks askance at Hitticus, "You know any o' these folk? I know none. Why d' ye say 'personal enemies'? Jes curious ye ken." He fidgets with one of his short swords which, unlike regular swords, are of the type commonly described as 'push blades'. These are wicked things; when plunged into an ... unwilling body (generally most are unwilling) and then pulling on a 'T' shape in the hilt causes the blade to spring open, conforming into a narrow W configurtion, when the 'T' is released the blade snaps back into a normal looking, double-edged blade. Needless to say, it would hurt a bit.

Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
Freak grabs the axe Hitticus offers with a quick movement and hides it behind his back before realising there is no need. He calms down a little. "Are you my friend? Why is your face shiny?"
*standing a bit off to the side just shaking my head*
"Might I suggest that we decide on who likes who later and get down to the business at hand. Captain, do we need any supplies for your ship? I suggest that a couple of us start searching this warehouse and the others find the first mate so we can get the hell out of here"

Mercwri looks around the warehouse trying to see if he recalls anything about such places; what sort of cargo is on- and offloaded in this area of the dockyards.
"What sort o' cargo bes inna this place, do any be knowin'?"
The Captain considers your words Uldran and shakes her head, “The Firehook is well provisioned and there is no need to seek my crewman he’ll be along soon enough and then we’re away.” She looks around, “Can’t harm to search the place though, seems more like a laboratory than a storeroom. What were they doing here?” She gives Freak a sidelong look but does not press the point.
Mercwri, you memory of business dealings in this area is patchy and you can not fathom what you might find.
Uldran and Mercwri roll investigation checks with advantage to represent the others helping.
OOC: the majority of Dwarves down here worship Moradin, they see other gods as little more that his servants and anything outside of that is heresy. I am happy for players to be creative or draw from standard 5e pantheons if they wish to go against the grain. Two rules about this, if it impacts significantly on the wider world/world building then run it by me first and secondly don’t draw from other franchises. Either make it up or use 5e sources. Alternatively I am happy to fill in the blanks for you.

Randrak lowers his handaxes, "Fine, for now we focus on trying to get out of here, alive. We will sort everything else out later. However, I am not going to just stand around here doing nothing."
Randrak heads over to the main entrance to the warehouse, "You lot search the warehouse all you like. I'm going to keep watch by these doors. I want to be ready for when whatever comes through these doors."

Hitticus will look around for something that could be medium armor.

Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
Seeing the others busy searching the warehouse, Freak runs to pick up the iron bar. Not knowing what to do next, he runs back to stay crunched against the wall, handaxe in one hand and an iron bar in the other.
Most of the contents of this warehouse are a mystery, it appears to be a strange jumble of scientific oddities. However, between you several items do stand out as being potentially useful :
3 vials of Acid
A small metal box containing around 150 silver
A silvered dagger with an amber gem in the hilt
A small leather notebook, the contents of which appear to be written in some sort of code
Unfortunately you find no armour Hitticus...
Randrak as you stand watch you see numerous groups of goblins running here and there outside and off to the left a large bulk of a Dwarf trying to sneak his way toward the warehouse side entrance. You spot the red sash of a Firehook crew member on his left arm.
OOC: I think the clue is “with a roar” I don’t think you could have missed it, he also flung the doors wide open. I am afraid you are all about to roll initiative a little ahead of schedule 😁 just putting the kids to bed and I’ll be with you!
Randrak you burst out onto the docks and charge the nearest group of goblins. There are goblins everywhere and they are all looking at you! Inside the warehouse you all hear Randrak roar as he slams open the doors and charges into the fray!
Captain Blackfire turns at the sound, "Well that's bloody fantastic! Everybody out!""
OOC: Randrak, Hitticus and the Firehook crewman get a surprise attack before I roll initiative and the fun really begins.

Hitticus curses being unprepared. He lines up to n fire off an Eldritch blast at any goblin that gets danger close
Torvin will take 10 minutes and ritually cast detect magic and take a stroll around the warehouse to see if anything magical reveals itself
