"Affirmative." Arc quickly pulls out his upgraded rifle and aims in the direction of the life sign. As he takes aim, he speaks up, "Mistress Dani. Shall I probe the potential dangers? As a recon unit, I'm designed to pursue such leads in the place of my more mortal companions."

"Let's all stay in here until we're sure it's alive and know if it's hostile or not," Dani suggests, fingers on the console.

"Is that what that light means?" Jeff would poke Dani's blinking screen. "So you want me shooting again?"

"Hang on, lemme scan for life signs." Dani starts hitting other buttons.

Your scanners fail to pick up any life signs on the outside of the rock, which means that as your ship draws closer to your location, it is surprised as one of the stalactites comes to life and whips out towards the ship with one of its' tentacles!

Dani mutters a curse and activates her defensive field, gaining 6 temporary hp as her fingers fly across the systems, boosting the shields. "Get to the weapons and start ******* firing! I've gotten a boost to the shields up and running but it won't last forever!"

Toni nods to Dani, “Arcade, Gin. Man the guns and blast that nasty space whip out of existence. Jeff, you got any helpful spells?”  She’ll then twist her hands around and point them out towards the creature, “Take it easy!” SLOW (DC 16 WIS)

She’ll give Gin a Bardic Inspiration (+1d8 on attack roll)

Gin perks up, her wings fluttering in delight when Toni gives her the command to fire the guns. "Oooh!!! I've never shot one of those before! Aye aye, sister!" The lashunta gleefully skips on over to one of the cannons and looks it over. "Okay, okay, so I just, like... do this?"

With the ship being pulled into the creature's mouth, Arcade gets into the targeting systems and fires as well, "We are not on the menu." Firing into it's mouth.

In his haste to get moving, Jeff scurried off in a random direction before actually processing what his obvious task was. He'd pause at a random doorway, his body language giving away that he's completely brainfarted where he was going.

Jeff would lift his finger, jesting it as if to say 'right, that was it'. He'd pivot, doing an awkward, rushed sneak glide over to the weapons. "Oooowooop! Woop woop woop!" The man would plop himself in the seat next to Arc. He'd run his fingers through his hair as he'd stare at the controls. Last time he literally guessed. This time, would be different. This time, Jeff would press... "How about... This one?"
