"That's my armor's name," Dani explains cheerfully. "I've been working on her so long, it felt right to have something to call her." She taps the breastplate of her armor proudly.

Arc cocks his head, then lows his head to gaze at her breastplate, he gives a light wave, "Hello, Dora." He then gazed back up at Dani, "Is the name significant of sentience, or simply sentimental?"

"Nah, she's not sentient--at least not yet. Maybe someday if I have a spare month and access to a good programmer." Dani shrugs.

Jeff was guilty of tuning out when Tony introduced himself and Toni personally named him. He’d chuckle, popping his brows as he’d grin along with Toni’s conversation about subordinates. 

Though, his eyes would eventually pan to lurk on Dani and her curious botman. Weren’t they a pair. Jeff would smile.

Jeff’s survival tactic was to try to play a fly on the wall. Simply observe from afar until he got the lay of the land. Sometimes it took a while for him to orient himself in a new environment, but he’d get there eventually. 

For now, he’d shadow the lashunta. If Jeff was asked to do something, he’d do his best to appease the request.

Captain Toni would welcome the shadow, since her sister and Dani were busy. She would take a walk around the ship, introducing herself to the new recruits. Eventually she’d end up back in the bridge. “Jeff. I don’t remember if I’ve asked this, but do you have any experience on ships, beyond being a stowaway?”

Jeff was surprised this question hadn't come sooner. He'd pull his lips into his best grin for Toni. "Couldn't even tell you that I have good experience with relationships, let alone actual ships of any kind." He'd chuckle awkwardly. The man knew better than to lie to the captain. "Normally a surface dweller." He'd admit. There was a reason why he avoided the airlock area and many windows. He still got waves of vertigo looking outside.

Your two ships fly to Tidestar Rock. As you approach, you get hailed by Lady Smythe. "Ah, it's the Reclaimer again. Has your engineer acquired the supplies she needs to make those fixes?"

Dani pops up on the viewscreen. "Yep. Got a bunch of new stuff, this should be a piece of cake."

Arcade appears behind Dani in the viewscreen, "I shall provide assistance to the Mistress, as is required for repairs."

Toni scooches over, her antennae vibrating, the tiny bulbs at the end glowing a faint purple. DANI, you hear Toni’s voice inside your head, “Dani...are we going to assault this station, or be friends? I don’t remember.”

Gin giggles from the back with a playful glint in her eyes and a sly smile dancing on her lips. "Oooh, he's calling her 'mistress' now, huuuh?"

Toni breaks her concentration to laugh at her sister’s statement.

Jeff stifles a snort too, grinning. 

(If Dani was able to reply before Toni started giggling XD)

"Taking the place over. Let's get Smythe to take us somewhere with a communications hub, then jump her and try to get them to surrender. If they don't, we take the place by force."

"Lady Gin, I have always referred to Mistress Dani by the polite title. She has yet to correct me to do otherwise."

Jeff would lean in to whisper to Gin after Arc responds, “This pair’s synergy just has me tickled pink.” He’d grin to himself. Dani and her robot were truly settling in to being a charming team.

“How about maybe just calling her Dani,” Gin suggests to Arc. “Mistress is kinda used for... somethin’ else. Unless she really wants to be a mistress.” The lashunta giggles. “Oh! Or maybe call her Lady Dani? That’s polite...” She gasps. “Or instead use a cute nickname like Didi!” She then lists off a series of possible nicknames for Dani, up until JJ whispers in her ear.

Another gasp. “Oh my gosh! JJ you’re a genius! Team names!! They can be team Tickled Pink! Or maybe Team Robusta!” And there she goes again listing off more team names, branching off from Dani and Arc to the others in the group as well. She doesn’t look like she’s going to stop either.

Arc simply stares through the video feed at Gin, eventually asserting his own thoughts after she named off yet another team name, "You are a curious creature, Lady Gin. I believe I am fortunate to have been assigned to Mistress Dani, while being in close proximity to you, so I may witness and record such actions in my archive for the future. If I may ask, what do you call your actions?"

Dani observes all of this with great amusement and a big smile. She's not accustomed to this level of...camaraderie around her. At home, everyone was strict and uptight and always perfectly polite. But she's getting used to this.

And she really likes it.

Gin stops her rambling off when Arc asks his question. She tilts her head with a brow raised, her finger to her chin. "You mean talking? Well... more like rambling though." She gives a sheepish laugh, her antennae drooping. "I kinda... go off on tangents sometimes when I'm excited. Sorry about that!"
