NAME: Org the Half Orc CLASS: Monk BACKGROUND: Living on the streets of Waterdeep isn't what the Lords of the City of Splendor has said it to be. It can be a dark and cruel place, especially for a Half Orc. Org, a name he gave himself when he could, was raised by a beggar called Old Root, in the back alley's of the city. Old Root tells the story of how he found a half orc baby wrapped in a dirty blanket left out in the rain one night and of how he took the boy in, raised him as his own, or at least the best he could manage when not waylaid by a bottle or some other vice. It was Old Root who taught Org how to survive the city streets and when the local boys started ruffing Org up a bit, how to fight with his hands. The cruelty and darkness of the city would have caused a darkness to creep into the young half orc's soul had Old Root not spent his time when sober telling Org his stories. Old Root would tell Org stories of enchanted places, magic, far away sites and unusual creature fueling Org's wonder and imagination and he would tell the stories as if he had seen such things or at least Org believed the old man had. Life seemed like it would be this way forever for this young half orc but, fate and drink does have a way of changing things. One night Old Root got his hands on a bottle of something that turned the old man violent. Old Root, in a fit of rage, attacked a local merchant and killed the man and would have killed more had the City Watch not stopped him. The trial was quick and Old Root was sentenced to death. Org was beside himself with grief and crept into Old Roots cell to free him but the old man stopped him. "Listen to me boy" Old Root said, "I ain't had it easy but I had no call to kill that man especially since he'd been kind to us with sharing left overs. You go now and get back to our shelter and take the small sack hid in my old boot. You take that " tears rolling down the faces of Old Root and Org at this time "and you go and make a better life fer yerself. Yer strong boy, find yer way in this world and make em see what you can do." With that Old Root started banging on the cell bars calling for the guards, forcing Org to flee. It took a couple of days for Org to follow the old man's instructions. Old Root was executed a month ago and Org has sworn to honor his "father's command". Org has set out with what little he has and with a plan. Org is going to change the world. Cade is a ghostwise halfling that has gotten more than his clan's usual amount of wonderlust. While most of his clan is comfortable to stay in their forest home, he has decided to travel abroad, and see what there is to see. The City of Splendors was high on his bucket-list to see, so he made almost straight for the city, wishing to have a look at the jewel of the north.
He is a bit shy, a lot shier than other halfling clans, but a bit more worldly than his own reclusive kin. With his ability to speak mind-to-mind he is not as use to using his voice, and has some troubles remembering to do so.

I've played DND on and off for nearly 20 years now. I've been playing extensively online here for the past 2 years. I play in a lot of games, and am DMing several as well.
- YOURSELF (Tell me something interesting about YOU, not your character.)
I am a blind gamer. Finding DND Beyone was a huge thing in my gaming life, as it opened up huge doors that I had not had prior to when I found these forums.

Sure, why not. I have other games doing it, so not hard to do it here as well.
Thank you to everyone who applied, this was a VERY difficult decision to make, and I appreciate everyone's time and effort they put into the application. I have alerted the chosen ones by PM. If you didn't get a PM you didn't make it this time around, but don't take it personal, there's always next time.
Ah yes. Good to see you again. Always nice to see past players.
Cheers!
