"Doesn't appear our missing person is here." Morgan says as he glances around the small lab. "Let's move onward, all that noise we just made is sure to have alerted others of our being here..."
Grykham will check the bodies of the two dead duergar. Grykham moves to go with the others. "Told ya you should have just brained that one in the first place." he says as they step over the dead body of Krentz
The adventurers continue down the hallway, that Krentz had ran down.
Threadbare curtains hang on the east wall of a long hall, in the middle of which a muscular half-orc in dingy robes stands with his foot on the chest of a male human with wavy red-blond hair. Fire burns around the orc’s clenched fist, and his victim cries and squirms helplessly beneath him.
Seated on a raised platform to the south is a nightmarish figure wearing black robes. It has large white eyes and rubbery purple skin, with four tentacles encircling its inhuman mouth. It cradles and gently caresses what looks like a disembodied brain with feet.
Of course, Krentz sudden arrival had alarmed Grum'shar and Nihiloor. As the adventurers make their presence known, the figure sets its pet down, and glides across the room, toward the double doors on the left. The brain skitters across the ground, getting near Grum'shar.
"Floon!" Renaer calls out, as he spots Floon tied to a chair. Floon is the one being interrogated by the Half-Orc mage. Grum'shar looks confused for a moment, as he thought he was interrogating Renaer Neverember.
"Release him, or you'll be dispatched." Renaer calls out to the half-orc mage whom is brutally interrogating Floon. Grum'shar just scoffs at the warning. Renaer looks to his peers to see if they have anything to add.
Rashar didn't fancy himself a master diplomat, but he knew that in this situation, a few words could save a lot of bloodshed. He averts his eyes from the nightmarish tentacle creature and speaks to the mage.
"Look here- there's two of you, and seven of us. I wouldn't like those odds if I were you. Step away from the prisoner- nobody needs to get hurt."

In addition, it will also use its Devour Intellect ability. Sending harsh, psionic waves into Morgan's mind.

Nothing of value is in the lavatory.
"You're right, Morgan. It's best we make haste now." Renaer responds, as he quickly moves onward to follow the path Krentz took.

You are not the only one with psychic allies. Relent, you may yet save your own skin - and mind!
