Goblin#5 takes the scimitar right through the chest and collapses to the ground and is no longer living in the plane of existence.
Goblin#8 takes the whip right to the jugular. The whip rips right through the skin and artery. Blood sprays 10' in rapid, pulsating squirts. The goblin grabs his neck, trying to prevent the blood from leaving, but it's futile. He collapses to his knees then falls over, dead.

Goblin#1 wakes up due to the pain caused by the fire, only to die in the agony of burning alive.
(We are out of initiative order - no more goblins to kill. Another "deadly" encounter that you managed like a hot knife through melted butter!. Everyone gets 110 XP which should bring everyone's total to 310, which is enough (300) to move up to level 2.)
Dusk turns to night as 3 heroes surround their sleeping beauty companions. The fire can be heard crackling as well as Menttal's snoring.
Valor starts looting corpses then moves the bodies from where the group is right now. He will throw anything he finds in a pile close to the ones sleeping.
"Goblin homes are notorious for traps and small places big folk can't go into" he says eyeing the cave.
Scimitars and shortbows are collected and placed into a pile. Without closer inspection with a light source or darkvision, details of what is beyond the cave opening can not be determined. The campfires do not provide enough light to see into the cave.
After a minute the sleep spell ends and Menttal and Milo wake up.
Milo stands on his walking stick. "I've never fallen asleep so fast in my life." He looks around to his companions. "Should we camp here, explore this cave, or find somewhere more suitable?"
While waiting on them to deliberate, the halfling turns to Lupe. "Are you doing alright friend? You look like you could use some healing." He places his hand on the dire wolf's side. "Heal." He says in druidic.
"A cave could provide a good base if it's not inhabited. If it is, maybe we should convince them to leave, eh?" he says with a grin before continuing, "... we cannot camp out here without at least clearing the cave, just in case?" the Half-Elf strokes his chin as he looks into the trees above, pondering to himself more than anyone else.
With the recent battles and adventure, Elrodin felt his arcane Draconic blood rise to new levels, new fonts of magic opening up to him like rooms being unlocked within his mind. He was itching to find out what was in them...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Milo and Lupe
Milo pulls a torch from his pack and sticks it into the dwindling flames to light it. He turns to Lupe, speaking telepathically to him. 'Would you check if there's any goblins left in the cave? You still know their scent, yes?'
The halfling moves closer to the cave entrance, stopping when just beyond the mouth of the cave is dimly lit.
Lupe carefully moves to the mouth of the cave, now wary more enemies may be near. The dire wolf sniffs in towards the cave.
Milo turns to the party. "It appears to be clear, keep a weapon at the ready." He steps inside the cave, Lupe at his side. The druid pulls three pebbles from his pouch and readies another step.
(Oog) I'm pausing here to allow for reactions or discussion. Milo has a torch in his right hand and the pebbles in his left. The light probably reaches to the corner. Milo is confident there are no enemies in the cave, but he doesn't see the rolls. If there are enemies they might know we're here.
Having recovered his various equipment from where he dropped them during the fight, Donnar follows closely behind Milo and Lupe. Deciding that the cave might be too tight of quarters to use the whip, he opts to go in brandishing a scimitar in his right hand. His left hand is pressed gingerly against one of his wounds.
"Maybe...we'll get lucky and happen upon another bunch of the grubby bastards... Could use a little more of a sweat."He whispers to his companions.
With courage in their hearts, Milo and Lupe slowly inch forward into the cave. Upon reaching the corner, Milo first sticks the make-shift torch around it and pauses. With nothing apparently happening he slowly peeks around and has a look...
He sees an egg shaped room, approximately 30' deep and 15' at its widest - near the back. The top of the room reaches to about 15 high, in the middle. Bedrolls and various other supplies line the walls of the room. The walls are rocky and jagged with what seems to be little pockets for holding small things in which Milo can see some light reflecting back.
There doesn't seem to be anyone, or anything in the cave. Milo calls to the others and lets them know the room he found was the goblin's den. Others come into the room and help search and loot the room.

With the extra light from the makeshift torch it is seen that the cave entrance is about 10' deep before turning sharply to the left.
