 Ermren turns to address Rose only to find her gone.

James approaches Gillain gently, and puts an arm around her. He prays for guidance, and says to her: 

“Girl... please, you’re hurting our feelings. Let them go, won’t you?”

Tio will keep close to Gillian the moment she seems to be in danger to herself Tio will grapple her."Gillain it's Tio do you remember me?"

Gillain smiles up at James as he puts his arm around her. Then her face screws up, a little confused, “Let what go??”.

And to Tio, her face completely lights up, “Tio! Of course I remember you, silly! Ha!... You did my hair so nice! Look it’s still up!”, she leans forward and shakes her head violently, then looks back up at her, beaming, “See!!... It’s amazing!”. She shakes her head one more time for good measure.

The party stands in the children's room.
The apparitions that were there are gone. 
One apparition, Thorn, appears to have entered Gillain's body. 
The second apparition, Rose, seems to have disappeared.
Toi & James were able to work together and locate the secret door to the basement by inspecting the dollhouse replica of the very house the party is standing in.

What are the party's next actions?

Tio will examine Gillain, put he hand on her head looking at her eyes. “Can you fight?”

Medicine: 10

Gillain looks at Tio, and steps in close,“I’m scared...”, she whispers. “Can I stay with you??”.

Tio speaking to the group “I don’t see any physical problems with her.” Tio caresses her and sighs “It’s fine Gillain just stick close to me okay.” Looking to James “I don’t know what the child did to her but if we defeat the monster in the basement perhaps we can end whatever is happening tor her. I suggest we move on unless you know something that can ended this behavior?”

Gillain stows her spear but keeps her shield up, and tries to hold Tio’s hand. She looks around the room, and at the ceiling, and into the corners, and out the door, and whispers to Tio, “You won’t leave me, will you...”.

“I will not but you have to be a big girl and help me. I’ll always be by your side so, stay with me okay protect me with you shield and I’ll protect you too okay?” 

Ermren shakes his head, "I thought you said you were a paladin, girl, not some child scared of the boogeyman. Get up and get your act together, now! Before you bring shame to your gods." Turning to glare around the room, "As for you, little ghost-child, if this is some of your nonsense, stop it this instant and leave her alone so we can end this evil once and for all."

Holding Tio’s hand, Gillain looks at her and listens to her, then sets her face in a determined expression and nods. Then she holds her shield in front of both of them, and looks over it, for any encroaching evil, ready...

As Ermren speaks to her, she pouts, “I’m not scared of the boogeyman... you’re scared of the boogeyman!“, but at the same time she shudders like there’s a sudden shiver going down her spine, and she looks up quick, into the corners of the room, eyes wide. 

Bob had already marched out of the room as the others tended to Gillain, sticking his fuzzy head back through the door to glare at them. "What a bunch of lazybones! If there's a monster in the basement I'm not gonna be a big baby about it," he announces petulantly, sticking his tongue out at Gillain.

Gillain scowls at Bob for a second, “I’m NOT a baby!!... anyway you’re the one who’s just running off and leaving us behind!... Come on Tio”. She pulls Tio by the hand, and in a sulk follows after Bob.

The party observes this scene play out with some confusion. Unsure of what to do, most in the party realize there are a secret door and basement to explore.

Tio will lead towards the basement. “This way Gillain.” 

Bob huffs as Tio takes the lead, sulking behind her all the way to the basement door. When they get there he rushes forward and tries to open it and lead the way down the secret passage. "Last one there's a rotten egg!"

Gillain happily lets herself be led by Tio. She looks over her shoulder, as they pass Bob, and quickly pokes her tongue out at him as they go.

She’s then a little put out, as he rushes back past them, to retake the lead.

But then she looks a little trepidatious again, as they begin to head deeper into the secret passage...

The party moves from the children's room. Bob races ahead of the rest, going out the door and across the hall to the door in the northwest corner of the main area. Bob opens the door to the room.

The door opens to a 15 ft. x 25 ft. dust-covered room. This is obviously the Storage Room. This room is packed with old furniture. The furniture is stacked in various spots in the room and is covered with sheets of cloth. Each sheet is covered in dust and cobwebs. Along the north wall of the room rests a stove, approximately 8 ft. diagonally from the entrance of the room. To the left of the stove, along the north wall, is a low rectangle object covered by a sheet, dust, and cobwebs.  

In the northeast corner of this room Bob, racing ahead, finds the secret latch and pushes it. There is an audible click that echoes throughout the room. A panel of the wall is pushed back and slides to the right behind the wall, revealing an enclosed 5 ft. x 5 ft. room housing a set of steps going down. 

DM: If there is nothing that interests the party in this room I will continue once I get a bit of sleep.
