As The shadows began to emerge and converge on Gillain. Tio will move next to Gillain. She begins to focus ki into her arms as bonus action. Erupting with force energy as her astral form begins to form around her arms! Each shadow within 10ft is hit by it. Tio takes a fighting stance striking with her astral fist!
DC12 Dex save or take 6 Force DMG
Attack: 22 Damage: 5
[Tios reach is extended by 5ft so she has a reach of 10fr with her astral arms.]
((OOC: oh wow everyone! This is like the party’s avengers moment, with the the camera panning slowly around the group in the middle, all facing out in different directions activating their awesome abilities!! Magic missiles, holy weapon, astral arms!! (also... ALL force damage on the arms too!! nice!).)).
Already Bob's simple staff topped with a honey dipper was taking on a gnarled, hardened appearance as if the wood was becoming petrified and hard as stone. Then it began to sprout tiny little mushrooms which sprouted more fungal buds which themselves crusted over into a rigid shell of mycelia. That, however, was before everything went black and the darkness descended on them in the form of shadowy humanoid shapes.
Initiative: 5
He lets out a startled cry and along with the fearful sound a cloud of fungal spores erupt from his staff, from the sleeves of his robes, even from the tangled depths of his beard, before they swirl around him in a protective haze. (Symbiotic Entity: Gain 12 temporary hit points, I won't be adding the bonus Necrotic damage because I think undead in general are immune to Necrotic damage?)
He shuts his eyes and breathes the spores deep, opening them again with an uncharacteristic calm to his features. He smiles and nods. "The many do not fear the few," he says in a still, even voice. Then, emboldened by Gillain's heroism and Tio's mastery of her body, he wades into combat with a savage Dwarvish warcry. Taking a onehanded grip on his shillelagh he swings the magic-imbued staff at the approaching shadow.

As Ban and Gimble finish freeing the dead, she steps in front of the gnome in an effort to protect him and brandishes two of her favourite daggers. Should one come close enough, the eladrin slashes with both hands in an 'x' with backwards grips.
A soft glow of golden energy seems to surround Gillain as she summons divine energy. A translucent energy forms around Tio's arms as she focuses her will. A burst of the same energy comings from Tio and flows out cascading the area and buffeting the Shadows. Tio's attack however passes through Shadow 1. It feels like she is punching pudding but, does do some damage. Shadow 1: 20 Shadow 2: 11 Shadow 3:7 Shadow 4: 2 Shadow 5: 17 As the energy washes over the Shadow's only Shadow 3 seems affected by the energy. 3 Missiles of energy & force fly from Gimble's outstretched hands and strikes Shadow 2. The Shadow recoils slightly from the attack. Shadow 1 focuses on Gillain, swinging a shadowy claw at the Paladin. Hit: 23 but misses the Paladin. Shadow 2 focuses on Tio Hit: 6 and misses. Shadow 3 attacks Gillain. Hit: 14 and misses. Shadow 4 attacks Gimble: Hit: 19 and misses. Shadow 5 attacks Farris. Hit: 22 and misses. Bob concentrates and his staff seems to glow green. Bob takes the staff and swings at Shadow 1 but misses. Banlaunches two of her favorite daggers. The daggers pass through Shadow 3, 1 dagger goes wide while the other one's aim is true but seems to pass through Shadow 3. At the right angle, light can be seen through the hole. Farris utters arcane words and opens a small cut on his hand. Using the blood from his own body he coats the crossbow. A glow of energy surrounds the crossbow and he fires. The bolt misses its mark.
((OOC: I think either Shadow 1 or Shadow 3 would provoke an attack of opportunity from Gillain due to polearm master. Whichever moves into her 5ft reach first (shadow 1 I think). Gillain will then continue to target the same one on her turn. Also, Sacred Weapon gives her an extra +3 to hit and all magical damage, and Divine Favor gives her +1d4 extra radiant damage)).
Gillain sees the shadows descend upon the party, striking out instinctively at one of them...
((if she kills one, she’ll move on to the next. Also, I feel like these will be resistant to some damage and vulnerable to others so I’ve tried to be clear about damage-types))
While she’s fighting, Gillain will continue to chastise these foul creatures: “Your attacks will find no purchase on these heroes, you unholy things!! The light protects us! Just as it burns you in turn!.... Come forward, and find your peaceful rest, here on my spear!”.

Gimble:
Watching the progress of the battle, Gimble again lashes out with arcane missiles, scattering the missiles among the most heavily damaged of the shadows in the hopes he can take them down before they attack again.
Magic Missiles (separately): 4 , 2 , 3
OOC: If he has no clue their level of damage, he will either hit the one he hit before or the one in front of him.

Seeing all of the magical abilities go off around her, Ban is in awe of these people and their skills. With her attacks ineffective, she will look for the sphere that was knocked down. Ban takes a Dash action and rushes forward, making sure to avoid any contact with the shadows as a bonus action to Disengage. The eladrin tumbles to pick up the orb and places it on the statue's left hand. Hoping she was able to help in some way, she uses the rest of her move to exit the room Northward.
As she runs, Ban looks back at her daggers forlornly and says aloud, "I'll be back for you." Whether that was to the group or her weapons, it's unclear. She adds over her shoulder, "I don't possess the skills for these unfortunates, so I'll just step aside and let the capable at it."
Just want to check my maths... Did Gillain do a total of 43 damage across her 3x attacks? Is that right? ((Full damage from magical piercing and bludgeoning damage, and double damage from radiant)). Is that right? Thanks.

Bob opens his eyes after the wild swing and realizes with a groan that he had missed completely. He wasn't used to wielding a weapon in combat; he would have been more comfortable attacking with his teeth, though he doubted even a wolf's fangs would effect literal shadows.
He watches Ban go and nods resolutely. "Not t' worry, lass! Nature shall reclaim these wretched creatures and give their spirits rest," he says with another wide slash with his quarterstaff at the same Shadow.
Gillain, glowing with golden divine energy, attacks Shadow 1 as it comes within melee range. She thrusts her spear, glowing with the same golden energy, through Shadow 1. As the spear penetrates the creature golden energy spreads from the tip of her spear and floods the creature. The creature explodes in a golden light and pieces of shadow burst away and dissolve. Gillain turns to Shadow 2 and with another thrust of her spear Shadow 2 explodes in the same golden light, dissolving away with a terrifying scream. Gillain swings her spear, the blunt end, bathed in the same golden light, strikes Shadow 3, already damaged from Ban's dagger and yet again the Shadow is overtaken and explodes within a burst of golden light. Tio turns her attentions to Shadow 4 and hits it once. Tio gets the same "punching pudding" feel she did with her first attack. Gimble utters the same arcane words as before and 3 bolts of energy fly from his hand and strikes the 2 remaining Shadows, 2 missiles to Shadow 4 and 1 to Shadow 5. Both Shadows shudder from the attacks. Shadow 4 screams 'Die in the Master's name"as it attacks Gimble but, its attack misses the mage. Shadow 5 hesitates momentarily then attacks Farris but misses as well. Bob lashes out with his Quarterstaff-glowing with green energy and strikes Shadow 4. The quarterstaff passes through the creature and as it does the energy from the staff overtakes it and it screams as it dissolves into nothingness. Shadow 5is all that remains.
1: Ban may change her post for Round 2. 2: Waiting on Farris' attack.

Gimble:
Ducking and weaving the shadow attacking him, Gimble smiles his thanks at Bob as the dwarf destroys the enemy attacking him. Turning to the remaining shadow, he summons elemental cold to coat it's form, hoping to slow any further attacks it might make.

Round 2: Farris fires a bolt glowing with radiant energy. The bolt tears through Shadow 5and it begins to retreat out of fear. The Shadow seems to be trying to make its way back to the statue. Its path is a direct line allowing an attack from any of the party members. (It is fleeing from Farris' location and will pass Gillain, Tio, Gimble, & Bob. As it is trying to flee to the statue, Ban can make an attack as well. The Shadow has lost its "Morale" conviction in attacking as it has seen 4 of the shadows destroyed within seconds and is panicked, fleeing in fear with a lack of concern.)
