"Well," Quiller shakes his head a bit. "Don't s'ppose we bes goin' inta the forest then, eh. Vothrolo, is there anything you might have remembered aboot what lies ahead? I means, any sorts o' tales 'r rumers?" As he asks, his eyes search the corpses of the dogs for any bolts. Approaching the northern door he will carefully search for any obvious opening mechanisms, oddly placed stones along the floor or wall.
“The book I have only mentions that the trove was hidden in the basement of the building. No other information is provided on its whereabouts or any traps. I doubt that any creatures that Woitech’s minions encountered in hiding the cache would still be alive in the vicinity.”
Quiller is able to recover one bolt from the dog. The door does have a handle to open it, although it is partially broken, with the door not completely closed. There is not enough of an opening for Quiller to see what is on the other side of the door.
Lorgar casts light on the pebble before handing it to Quin the pebble lights up the hallway, but, doesn't show any new feature or creatures in the hall. Nothing stirs as the pebble bounces down the hallway.
OOC About ten to 15 of those pages is the party doing a dance around the overturned wagon. And, with a larger party, the number of pages will be greater for the same amount of action. There have been 3 encounters so far (for the people here from the beginning). The threads I've participated in as a character, it seems like it takes 4 to 5 encounters before a level up occurs (unless the encounters are particularly tough).
Quin darts deeper into the hall, scoops up the glowing rock and goes to join Quiller at the north door. Quin helps Quiller get the door open by holding tools, offering advice, and providing light with the rock.
As Quiller eases the door open, he finds no wires, or other signs of a trap being present. The only smell that is noted is a slightly musty smell in the area. With the door open, Quiller is looking down a long hallway, with four doors present. All of the doors are present on the right hand side of the hallway. The furthest door is clearly barely hanging on by the lowest hinge, with the door tilting out into the hallway.
Dust is clearly present along the sides of the hallway, with a clear path down the middle where creatures have clearly trod.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The path down the middle of the hallway is mostly devoid of dust and tracks, with a few tracks present on the boundary between the middle and the edges. The Lukas and Davril can see definite canine footprints, along with prints from a smaller animal. Quiller recognizes rodent tracks of various sizes along with cat tracks.

OOC My job is consuming way too much of my time and mental energy right now, so my posting will be somewhat irregular for the next month or so. I will post as often as I'm able, but, there may be weeks when I'll only get a post in on weekends. I'm enjoying this adventure and am not willing to abandon it. There is a new person coming onboard at the end of this month. I'm hoping that after I get them up to speed, my hours will drop back down to 40 hours a week, and the stress will also lessen.
With no signs of danger visible Quin turms to Quiller and says "Shall we?" Before slipping into the hall and up to the first door. Crouching next to it Quin takes the hide action.
Quin moves to the doorway and crouches down in the center of the door, trying to hide behind the lone leaf sitting on the floor. There are two low piles of wood in the room, with the floor covered with dust and debris. The ceiling in this room is intact, leaving the room in the shadows cast by Lorgar's light spell. The room measures approximately 25 feet x 25 feet. No creatures are visible in the room.
Quin gets up a little sheepish mumbling, "Uhh...loose board there or something..uhh yeah. Um..so uh..careful." He scoops up the rock and steps through the doorway and into the room. Moving off to the side immediately to allow for the others to follow.

Quin sticks his head back into the room and says to Quiller, "Just a couple of doors so far. What do you got?"

Quiller will try and ease the door open, using a tool to feel for wires or other triggers.
Any odd odors, sounds?

Summoning a mage hand, Balthazar would like to look down the hallway and, from a distance, open the first door on the right.
Quin sees the spectral hand places the lighted rock in its palm "Here place the light at the other end while you're there."
