"Apparently that is not the group consensus. So I will abide with the decision for now but I won't be making any further arrangements to continue feeding them." Says Quin with a shrug as he continues poking around the campsite waiting for the feeding to be done and the treasure retrieved.
The mimics leave the bodies alone for the time being as they are awaiting the horses. When Lorgar asks them how many horses they want, he hears the voice in his head say again "Two. Two horses are all we want to finish the deal."
Davril has two ponies with him, although one of the ponies is branded with the "R" of the Sanbeyonne nobles met by most of the party (Davril was not part of the group at the time).
At the corral, Lukas doesn't seen any markings on the first draft horse he first spots. There are two additional ponies in the corral, two more draft horses, and seventeen riding horses. With ten of those riding horses appearing to be of a better quality than the other seven."
Quin doesn't see anything to conclusively tell him where the bandits came from. There are various items (clothing, bedding and various knicknacks) that may have come from Sanbeyonne, Kardagen and the free cities. Whether the bandits came from these diverse backgrounds or the items were collected from their victims, the rogue cannot tell.
After the two horses get brought into the cavern with the mimics, everyone hears a voice in their head saying 'The contents of the chest are yours. And, underneath the rolled up carpet over there, is a chamber where the most valuable treasure is kept.'
Davril will use his spear his spear to move aside the carpet and take a look, gesturing for someone else to grab the chest before the creature changes its mind.
Quiller will help drag the three (?) chests back toward the exit so other party members can get them out and help roll the rug up to check out the ‘most valuable treasure. « I would say we kin trust these critters, they could fought to keep us from this stuff so, like I said, seems they’ll keep their word. »
He will take proper cautionary measures with the hidden treasure, checking for traps others might not have been aware of.

As Quiller approaches any of the chests except the middle one, a mouth opens wide in what might be a smile. The teeth make the smile scary and less than friendly. The middle chest though is a real chest and none of the mimics bother the rogue as he drags it across the room.
When Davril moves the rug aside, all that he sees is a layer of sand that is spread out over this area.
"Let me help you with that." *Lorgar strides over to the carpet, grabs one end and starts pulling it back as to fold the carpet in two, revealing the floor beneath.*

Once Davril and Lukas start to dig into the sand, they realize it is only a couple inches deep. After the sand is cleared away, a couple wood planks are visible beneath the sand.

"Well, two unmarked horses should be available."
"Davril, put the marked one back and get an unmarked one!" Lukas snaps, the stress of dealing with Quiller's greed testing his patience fiercely.
"Hope they choke,"grumbles Quin as the horses are led by.

That was from a while ago, you took it back with you. Davril is just waiting with the unmarked pony while you get the other one.
(well then)
Lukas grabs an unmarked, not-best shape pony and takes it to davril.
"There. now no one is gonna get mad at us. we take the rest with us after handling this and leave."
After the two horses get brought into the cavern with the mimics, everyone hears a voice in their head saying 'The contents of the chest are yours. And, underneath the rolled up carpet over there, is a chamber where the most valuable treasure is kept.'
"ok, who's gonna risk the carpet to see under it?"
Quin is quite content to remain in the camping room and stays out of the treasure room.

"i mean, i have a shield, but i'm gonna need cover while it works as an impromptu shovel. ok?"
"Let me help you with that." *Lorgar strides over to the carpet, grabs one end and starts pulling it back as to fold the carpet in two, revealing the floor beneath.*
(davril already uncovered the sand.....)
Lukas starts digging.
(do i make an athletic check or something?)
Davril sighs and sets down his pack to untie the shovel from it and sets to work digging.

"anyone got an axe?"
