As Davril heads back to grab some horses and other party members go back to grab the dead bodies of the bandits, the mimic frees Quin's hands.
At the corral, Davril sees 24 horses. Four of the horses are ponies, three look like draft animals, ten of the horses appear to be of better quality than the rest, while the remaining seven do appear to be solid riding horses.
OOC sorry for the delayed posting, the last five or so days have been particularly crazy for me.
Davril has minimal trouble attaching ropes to two of the ponies and bringing them out of the corral. As Davril enter's the room with the mimics, the two ponies start to try pulling away in fear. As the ponies dance around, Quin, Quiller and Lorgar notice the ornate "R" brand on one of the ponies that resembles the "R" you had noticed on the side of the carriage containing the nobles from Sanbeyonne.
By this point, the dead bodies have been piled up near the main mimic.
turning to the pseudopods, Lukas starts to negotiate. "there is a reward for the safe return of these stolen horses and the heads of the horse thieves, both of which we now have. we also have the bodies of the thieves and the foodstuffs for exchange. will this be a reasonable trade, body corpses and food in return for keeping the ponies? I will gladly explain the situation and negotiate with the nearby town or village for a cow to be sent up here at regular intervals."
As soon as he is released Quin scrambles back away. He wipes his hands vigorously on his clothes more in an attempt to rid himself of the feeling of being stuck in the pseudopod than to remove any thing from his hands.
of the two brought in, yes, but there might be others... we'd have to make careful investigation of them all in order to sort the stolen from the non-stolen.
"Future cows are not very filling, but, a horse or two would keep us fed until the next traveler comes along."
"and as to what we have now?"
"Go get a couple of those horses we found earlier, and get me out of this!" Says Quin.

Davril nods and heads back to fetch a couple horses.
"The guards bodies aswell...." *Lorgar goes on to the gruesome task of transporting the corpses.*
Quiller will help. « Never thought I’d be feedin’ things t’ things. Strange dontcha think? »
Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
"I too find these recent events strange, but if this helps us preserve horses it is well worth the effort."
"hopefully the bodies will be sufficient exchange to let us have gold and transport."

Davril would grab a couple ponies and start helping load the bandits' bodies on to lead back. Once done, he will lead them back to the treasure room.

Lorgar points to the bodies: "Is this enough to sate your hunger?"
"Lorgar, you fool, look at the ponies! they have noble brand! WE killed the Horse Thieves!"

(First things first. Feed them the headless bodies from the guards. Maybe that will be enough.)
