Why straight up ban evil alignments? it makes sense for CE, but if played right LE characters can be tolerable people.
Doesn't fit my with world build but also I find most often than not players use evil alignments as an excuse to be a dick. Sorry, I'm not budging on that. Plenty of games on here that do allow it tho so...

Could I get a rundown of the noble houses, what they are like, what they are known for, what businesses they run etc.
No lore dumps. Give me a character and if I want to consider them I'll give you more info.

Been PMing with Killilli seeing if we cannot put some common threads together in our backstories with our characters Petal and Magda knowing one another. I just wanted to ask when you start the campaign is it your intent that everyone's characters have just recently arrived and become part of the noble families' household or have them been there for months or even a year+ and become familiar with each other? If this is something you want to play close to vest, no problem, I just thought I would ask. Thanks.

You could but I tend to shy away from a packaged deal with PCs. If one player drops out or is asked to leave the other tends to follow. Everyone will know each other, well or by sight considering their station, because everyone is starting in the same place with varying degrees of loyalty earned and given by the noble family their in service too. Hope that helps.

Recruitment will remain open until September 28th. I'll choose then messages all involved. I want to have some party banter in the PM to see how you guys play together before kicking things off Oct 1.
PM if you'd like to keep aspects of your PC secret!

Alright thanks, we are/were not even sure our characters eve getting selected or one and not the other. Just as something to add to the story if we do both happen to get in but neither of us was looking at it as a packaged deal or anything remotely like that. Some GMs like and prefer players if possible linking characters to encourage activity and strengthen roleplay but everyone is different. No problem.
I do want PCs to have ties to everyone just don't hang your backstory on another PC is my point! As I said everyone will know everyone to varying degrees based on station!

Understood, not a problem at all, Killilli, and I put a total hold on it and dropped the idea now that we are both aware of your preference. Our starting to do that was totally unintential. As the saying goes, it never hurts to ask a question. Like I said everyone is different, some encourage it, others don't. All good, thanks.
Sure. Highly divine magic world however so your rites will be interesting to explain in front of the clergy...

Timezone: EST Name: Xearnon Yanik Race: Tiefling Class: Hexblade Warlock (I would have done BH but I wanted one feature...) Background: Urchin Backstory: In PM.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Hey guys, I've been looking for something long term, and would love to play in a world like the one outlined. (I am in EST as well, Ohio)
Ability scores: 171314161216
Name: Elavor
Race: Half-Elf
Class: Rogue (Cartographer/Treasure seeker)
Background: (Guild Member)
Backstory: 4 (Guild of cartographers that works for one of the kingdoms/royal families?) He would have a number of years of travel and experience finding items "of historical value" and charting areas of interest for one of the kingdoms or royal families...
Lots of interesting folks. Leaning heavy on church folk. Anyone daring to be a heretical arcane caster? A bard perhaps? Drop me a line I'm still mulling things over! Still open for recruitment.

She was born into a family of travelling halflings but fled from home when she was 15 years old after almost killing the family patriarch in order to protect her younger brother.
Without family and friends, she turned to a life of crime to survive. Pickpocketing her way through smaller cites until she ended up in one of the major cites. Besides reliving the rich from the content of their pockets she would arrange a dice game or two. Always making sure the odds where in her favour.
Then one day her legendary luck ran out when a captain of the houseguard caught her red handed trying to steel from one of the lesser house members. But her lucky star once again turned its face on her and instead of dragging her off to prison, the old paladin recognised the good in her. Training her and educating her in the way of the paladins.
Now a member of the houseguard herself her faith in the path her mentor has shown her is strong. She will serve the house with honour and protect it’s members at any cost.
