This sounds right up my alley. COVID-19 killed my long-term in-person group (seven years) for the foreseeable future and I've been itching to roll some dice again. I literally just signed up for D&D Beyond today because I couldn't wait any longer.
Ability scores: 141213181213
Name: Ronegan Gallowglass
Race: Stout Halfling
Class: Wizard (School of Divination)
Background: Sage
Backstory: Unlike many others from his clan, Ronegan Gallowglass never really craved adventure. As his three brothers and two sisters all found their way into the world in search of excitement, Ronnie preferred to remain cloistered with as many books as he could get his hands in order to learn about the arcane art of divination. Soon, his burgeoning abilities attracted a fair bit of renown, further irritating the already prickly halfling.
His sister Lavinia, eager to see her brother make something of himself and make his own mark on the world, passed Ronnie's name on to one of the most notable noble families in the South. Attracting Ronnie's attention with the promise of access to the finest libraries in the kingdom, Ronegan agreed to serve as the family tutor, envisioning a quiet life in a large manor house. He was NOT prepared for the amount of travel and danger involved in serving as a member of a noble household, and, at the end of his third year as tutor to five kids, Ronnie is desperate to get out of his contract...
Sounds good. I'll roll stats and try building a bard. Just confirming you're ok with subclasses outside PHB? Thinking College of Glamour, if that's acceptable, otherwise Lore.

So this is what I've come up with.
Name: Laucian Moonbrook
Race: Half-elf
Class: College of Glamour Bard
Background: Guild Artisan - Painter
Backstory: Laucian fell in love with a noble human woman several years ago, and she shared his love. Though because he had no money, and was a half breed, there was no way that her father would ever accept him. As such he set out to make his fortune and has travelled for a few years, mixing his skills as a bard with those as a painter to eek out a living moving from town to town. His love of grandeur and drama has helped him earn a nice living, while his skills with a paintbrush earned him a place amongst the artist's guild adding to his earnings. As he travelled from town to town, Laucian became adept at sniffing out trouble and being prepared for whatever the road might throw at him. Dealing with bandits and creatures alike, his skills in combat and the arcane improved as the years progressed. He hoped that one day he could return home, with a fortune and a name that would grant him the hand of the woman he loved. One day recently however, he stumbled across some bandits harassing a young woman. After aiding her and sending the remaining bandits running with their tails between their legs, the woman revealed that she too was a bard of the College of Glamour. She had spent some time with several creatures of the Fey, and had learnt some incredibly handy tricks in that time. For his aid, the woman taught him what she knew and directed him in several other techniques that she said would take him some time to perfect.
Ok guys. I'm willing to open up the game from 4 to 6 players. So many great submissions. I will however close submissions now and work with those who have posted apps.
I have three spots left. Please be patience and I'll get to your PC if I am interested. Thanks for the creativity and time spent submitting your PCs.
Also ALL players outside of the range from US EST to PST I apologize but majority players are amongst the U.S. timezones and do not see your apps as viable for sustainable game play outside those posting times versus party stability. Thank you for submissions but I will pass due to the time difference.
