James, just manages to workout that the large shadow approaching Hifuis a bear(Passive Perception of 13). Half whispering, half shouting, Jameswarns the others.
"Quick, there's a bear!"
James, quietly calls out the command word for his dogs to stop and sit, before coming forward and placing a couple of stakes into the ground, to hold the lines down, so the dogs don't run off. Stepping forward, Jamestakes out is greatsword and calmly and quietly begins to move towards Hifu's position.
Gilgin draws his warhammer, globules of spit flying from his mouth. “Bear? Where? I heard they get spooked if you act threatening.”
Gilgin holds his hammer and shield over his head, waving them as he jumps up and down in the snow from one foot to the other screaming. “Gaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!“ Performance 5
Kravek comes up behind the dwarf and makes himself as tall and threatening as he can (intimidation17 lol i don’t even need to look up his bonus for that role.)
Seeing that there is no easy prey here today, the bear backs off and disappears into the forrest without bothering you any further.
(unless you want to do anything else, in wich case i will retcon events...)
You start moving again and Hifu leads the way, he seams to remember the direction you are going and after two more hours, just after dusk, you reach the familiar clearing. The snow of the last two nights already covered the tracks and leftovers of what happened here, but you find Bogas improvised coffin, just as you left it inside the igloo.
James nods his agreement with Nyx, as he helps Kravek, Gilgin and Hifu, load the coffin onto the sled.
"I think so. The way is still fresh in our minds, if the dark and the snow don't get us turned around, we should be able to get back quickly, right Hifu?"
James defers to Hifu, who has shown the most skill in navigating the snowy wilds so far.
"Unless you, or anyone else, thinks it might be safer to wait for the dim light of day."
“No, let’s head back now, follow the tracks. It should be quicker now that we aren’t hunting and just are following the tracks.”. Hifu helps to load up Boga’s coffin.

“Aye, I don’t want to spend another second in this awful place.” Gilgin looks around, suspiciously at the trees as he helps Hifu to put the coffin on the back of the sled.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
520 The travel only takes you two hours, and beside some old tracks of a single wolf, nothing special happens. It is dark for several hours by now, but you estimate that it is still early in the evening when you return to Speaker Hurlys house.
Hifu walks over to the Speaker's house, asks about where we should put Boga's body. "I'm sorry that we couldn't do more to save him. Hopefully thinks will be a little better around here with the White Moose gone. Can we stay with you one more night? We will be heading off to Bryn Shander in the morning and I'll give your regards to Copper Knobberknocker."

Following behind, Gilgin bows his head respectfully to the Speaker. “Does he have any family, or friends he was particularly close with? Maybe with a little guidance, I could learn how to preserve his body, if we can make it back within the next seven days. That is of course, if his next of Kin are comfortable with that.”
"I'm afraid that we can not wait 7 days though. I assume you don't know, but as part of this eternal darkness course, more people are turning into undead after dying. We call them coldlight walkers. Only a small amount turns into undead, but those who do, are way more dangerous then normal zombie or ghouls. They glow in the dark and you need at least 10 people to kill them. Any less and you will guarantee loose several men.
Because of that, all speakers have agreed that every dead body must be burned within 7 days after the death. Based on when you left, we need to burn Bogas body within 2 days to be save. I am sorry. "
"I understand Nimsey. Where should we bring him to be cremated? Perhaps Gilgin can offer some last rites for him. We need to rest and begin our journey tomorrow. I want to thank you for your help. We hope to be back to visit one day soon." Hifu gives Nimsey a hug, later on heads upstairs to sleep.

“It is getting late, so for now i would say we put him in the Ramshackle. James, do you remember the building, where we housed your dogs while you were gone, the one where we store all the timber. And tomorrow we will build a pyre and burn him in the evening. That way everyone in the village can say goodby to him. Like most here, he didn’t had a family, but at the same time we are all family up here.” Nimsey explains to you.
Gilgin bows his head. ”I can perform funeral rites. I will need some powdered silver and a good amount of liquor. The process will also ward the body from becoming undead for a good seven days, in case anyone from further afield needs to travel to pay their respects.”
Speaker Nimsey is quite for a moment and thinks about your offer before She replies: “I understand what you want to do and normaly i would tell you to try it, but i have a responsibility as Speaker and the danger of the Coldlight Walkers is serious... let me think about it and i will give you my answer in the morning.”
(I assume everyone is going to sleep after bringing the coffin to the old inn. Speaker Nimsey still provides you a warm place to sleep and food to eat and you all wake up after a good nights rest.)
“Gilgin, i was thinking about what you suggested and we can do the following: You perform this preservation ceremony today. I will then wait 7 days for your return and if you do not return by then, we will have to burn the body.”
“I don’t think we’ll be able to bring him back, but if anyone needs more time to pay their respects it’s there.” He says as he brushes down his grubby vestments. The dwarf looks uncomfortable out of his armour, his arched back and potbelly jutting out. ”If ye gather the silver, the liquor and the crowd we can begin.” He wrings his hands, flustered as he stumbles over his words. “It’s.. been a bit since I’ve done this, so I’m a bit rusty...”

Nyx just says, "Oh... crap" when she hears about the powerful undead.
James waits for directions, keeping his dogs calm while the others finish talking to the Speaker. James calls out from where he waits.
"What's taking so long? Where are we taking Boga?"
