Killilli’s Dragon Heist

"You want to go back and look Cico? I can come with you!"

Cico looks down at Aimee and nods. 

"There is another door out of the next room," Cico says. "More clues could be through there."

He looks at Kerri and the brothers.

"Everyone is happy now?" Cico says, looking at their faces to see if he can unlock the code that would indicate if they are happy or not. "Either way, unless there is more the statue will say now, we are going to look for more clues to what the blue word riddle is. It may show where the unicorn is and the way out."

Aldrik nods, and glances to Kerri. "We've an accord, and a common enemy. If you don't think we've enough for the riddle to be solved, then you have my blade at your back until we do. I trust you - you see something that needs a kick or a slice, say the word, Cico."

Cico nods, looks at Kerri to see if he can match the expression on Aldrik's face with that on Kerri's.

He then turns and goes back into the waiting room and checks the other door for any sounds (there was another door, wasn't there?) and traps.

Perception: 22  

Aldrik helps Cico search, keeping his promise to have the man's back, trying to learn from his meticulous scans.

Perception: 10

"I kinda want to see if it can give me the answer to my riddle..."

Edvord looks visibly confused as Aldrik speaks, "Look I have no idea what you are talking about, you know me Aldrik! We have our differences... but I wouldn't stab you!"

The man then walks over to the door Cico and Aldrik are inspecting and tries to ascertain if there is a crack large enough for Verklarung to slip through.

"Later, brother! You will owe many a drink and dry cleaning coin." 

Aimee looks torn about going since Lyss wants an answer,

"Maybe we wait a bit more to see and then we go and look for words and then come back and maybe then it will give us the answer?"

She looks over at the statue then out the door after Cico and Aldy.

The statue responds, ”A female Heron is a hen, but it would be disappointing if this were merely a nature quiz. An Egret has fluffier feathers as you described. A ladybird is a type of bug, though putting half of the name in would be too easy. Hmmm, it seems you have me stumped. If the answer isn’t clever I will have you stomped.

As Cico heads out of the door, he finds the newspapers have been refreshed, your own footsteps have been brushed over and the table seems a little shinier. Around the room six small creatures with tiny bodies and gigantic heads seem to be standing freely on the ceilings and walls quietly cleaning. As you step one lunges at you, reaching for your thieves tools (Sleight of hand 12 vs athletics, acrobatics or sleight of hand depending on how you deal with it) 

Another leaps from the ceiling, it’s slippery hands clambering at Aldrik’s sword. 13 (Same as above)

From the doorway, Cico and Aldrik watch as the cleaners reach their hand straight into the solid wall, a rift in space forming where their hands go. 
From inside the room with the statue, portals appear around the edges, a slippery hand reaches to grab Kerri’s loot bag (11) Another at Aldrik’s Rapier 26 one at his spell book 24 and one at Lyss’s shortbow 10.

Initiative 20

Lyss ponders, then answers in rhyme.

"No, not a bug, nor female heron,
any more one would say a female baron,
with egret you have the bird named right,
but there shall you then concede the fight?
If I might be so brash and bold,
would a female heir give up when told?
If you've not a name to call me,
you can't object if then I depart and flee."

Aimee listens to the back and forth between Lyss and the statue with a wide smile, her eyes becoming wider when she sees the,

"Cleaners! Wow! Look at their tiny little bodies! They are so GRABBY! Blast?"

Aldrik attempts to shove off both the grabbers going for his family blades.

"Yes, Aimee. Blast!"

"Kay!"

“A swan?”

Sticky fingers grab the bag from Kerri’s grasp, and the hands that reached through the portals retreat through. Lookin through, you can see the reception room as if looking for the ceiling as the little creature hops down to leave by the door Cico was going to inspect.
