Killilli’s Dragon Heist

Cico sits down in the hallway, his legs folding under him in a lotus position and his back leans against the wall, keeping an eye on both unopened doors.

"No where seems safer than anywhere else here," Cico says. "This appears as good a place as any to rest."

Something causes Cico to turn his head to the side. He looks over at Lyss and Aimee again. He stares at the pair for a moment then he reaches over and closes the door to the acrid potion room to remove the temptation.

Her line of sight broken, Lyss gives herself a bit of a shake and looks around, smiling.

Aimee shivers with excitement, squeezing Lyss's hand tighter,

"That is going to great!"

Aimee leans to keep looking into the room as long as possible as the door closes. She then yawns and asks,

"What about back to that cushy room? With the couch? And fire!"

That said, she'll rest wherever.

"The one where Edvord tried to kill us?" Kerri asks.

"Maybe? I think she means the one where I was gonna lock the wisp out of, but then everyone ran after it like it was a cat with a Harbor Moon piece tied to it's tail?"

You could definitely take a breather (short rest) where you are. It’s a little uncomfortable though if you wanted to actually sleep. The comfy room with the fire would be perfect for that though.

"Yep, the wisp room! Next to where Eddy tried to kill you guys!"

Cico doesn't move from his lotus position, though his eyes swivel between the two doors and back down the hallway.

"Do you need . . ." Cico pauses for a moment, thinking of the right word, "sleep?"

Kerri looks like she's tettering on the edge of passing out, but she doesnt say anything.

"I've got cold-sploded, then shadowed, and all sorts of other stuff. A snack and a really long nap would be good."

"I think I saw a bowl of goodberries in there too! Snacks for everyone!"

She starts walking back towards that room.

Edvord snaps out of whatever introspection has consumed him and follows the others to the comfy room for a short rest. "Did someone mention a potential egress?"

"Yep! I got the statue guy to make one for us! A female egret is a female egret, an egress is a way out! Unless he's playing a trick."

Cico quickly unfolds his legs and stands up, following the others.

"Do not touch the goodberries." Cico begins and after a pause continues. "Those rooms were trapped in someway or another. The waiting room with the chairs just down the hall here may be an easier space to rest."

Aldrik seems to have spent an awfully long time cleaning boggle-gore off of Zauberjager, transfixed. He seems to snap out of something, coming to attention, a grin across his face.

"Right! Well, if we egress now, we'll have not accomplished our two tasks of finding the unicorn and killing the deviant who made this place. Though... we'll likely be more alive, and Kerri can begin her bardic destiny..."

He pauses. "Even a quick breather would be refreshing... in the meantime, we need to put together all the clues we've got, instead of charging forth into bogglemess. The passphrase seems the most pressing, or any room yet unexplored that might hold our unicorn quarry hostage."

"Might i remind you all that I told you to leave the lute alone? Cause I still dont want it." Kerri trudges along, still trying to get the grease out of her hair from earlier. "And I need more than just a breather if you all are going to keep insisting on running into fights."

Aimee will help Kerri clean her hair with prestidigation and suggest to Cico,

"No the glowy orb guy was the trap, the berries'll be fine!" She winks at Lyss. "The waiting room didn't have a nice couch and fire! We should sleep there, right Kerri?"

"You have been warned once," Cico says. "Make your own choice now. I am not your parent."

Cico follows the others back through the passageway. Once they reach the reception - waiting room, he once again gestures at the chairs.

"This is closer."

"But way less nice! Some people don't sleep sitting up, or at least not when they can help it!"

She points to the nicer room.

Cico glances at Kerri and takes in her fatigue and then back down to Lyss and Aimee.

"Yes. It may be easier to secure as well." Cico says.

He heads off down the hallways, retracing their steps to the 'comfortable' room.
