Killilli’s Dragon Heist

Aimee is used to people praying for help (and patience) with/for her, it is just background noise at this point.

As Kerri prays, Lyss’s arrow and Aimee’s blast fly out simultaneously. Aimee’s excitement gets the better of her and she blasts in between the indigo and violet eyed scarecrows, striking the wall of corn behind them. Lyss’s arrow pierces straight through the head of the red eyed scarecrow, which doesn’t even flinch before it falls lifeless to the ground, straw spilling all over the floor. 

Lyss silently gives a fist pump and sends an arrow into another one of the scare-y crows before ducking and hiding to attack from another angle.

Strangely, the first one didn’t seem to flinch with pain or even move a muscle. The putrid smell when you harmed the scarecrow you fought outside was not present this time around. The maze is silent as you go back for another shot.

(which one are you attacking? We have Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet button eyes.)

Aimee whispers,

"Dang! Try that again!"

Aimee shoots at the purple one again.

(I’m going to assume violet? Purple could be either indigo or violet. Also, don’t forget your d4 from bless!)

He violet eyed scarecrow is torn apart by Aimee’s blast. Straw, twigs and hessian scraps flying all about. The Orange eyed scarecrow however, reels back at Lyss’s arrow with a screech.

(Roll initiative, post actions at will)

((I thought indigo was more of green color! Just sounded like it was, either way - yep, I meant the violet one.))

Aimee blasts the orange one that is getting all noisy and moves her hex to it.

Lyss scurries before popping out to shoot at orange again.

Sneak Attack: 2

She ducks back and scurries to a new, unexpected position.

Kerri is startled even though she knew this was coming. She summons radiant flames to burn the yellow one.

Casting Sacred Flame dc 14 dex save or it takes 5 radiant damage

Aimee’s blast goes wide, leaving a scorching hole in the corn wall behind the scarecrow. The Orange eyed scarecrow is struck by Lyss’s arrow, it glares at it’s attacker but they’re gone. (You are behind cover in the maze from darting back, but you need to make a hide check still) In stead it fixes it’s button eyes on Aimee and a sense of dread comes over her. 

As radiant flame descends on the seemingly inanimate yellow eyed scarecrow it’s face morphs into a horrifying visage. It darts out of the way glaring at Kerri. Her stomach feels like a pit as she feels pure terror coming over her.

The scarecrows hop over behind the other scarecrows, peeking out at you. 

(Aimee and Kerri - DC11 Wis save or be Frightened and Paralyzed.) (Scarecrows have half cover as long as you are continuing to attack from the hallway.)

As fear begins to root Aimee to the ground, she shakes herself out of it, bolstered by Kerri’s prayers. 

(Player round now, unless Kerri’s petrification would change your action)

Aimee, the one trick pony, blasts at orange eyes,

"HA! Didn't get me with your scary stuff!"

Attack: 23 Damage: 5

Lyss will also shoot at orange!

((Second attack if she's able to get advantage from shooting from hiding...26. Which would give her sneak attack. 4))

((Can't beat the first roll, so won't halfling roll that nat 1 on the second roll, but if advantage is good, she'd get the crit on sneak attack dice too, so here's another.  5 piercing.))

Total damage: 17 piercing (non magical)

She'll try to duck back and hide to be able to pop out from unexpected places once again. Stealth: 8

Kerri brings down more radiant flames on the scarecrows.

Action: Cast Sacred Flame on the same Yellow one again: 14 dex save or take 6 radiant damage

Bonus Action: turn 2 sorc points into a level 1 spell slot

Despite having an obstacle to fire around, Lyss and Aimee manage to hit their marks. The arrow strikes simultaneously with the blast of cackling energy and the Scarecrow screeches in pain as it gazes once more into Aimee’s soul before retreating out of view through the hole she blasted through the maze. 

The yellow Scarecrow ignites with sacred flame as it hops over towards it’s partner. It stops just inside the gap, poking it’s head out and glaring at Kerri. (3/4 cover)
