Qinfaren shrugs as he sees it's probably not going to help now if he comes out looking like Dugh since they've already told the other verbeeg that he's dead. Though they do seem like simple creatures, Qinfaren thinks to himself.
He pauses and decides to wait inside the cave until he sees the new verbeeg's reaction.
"Well, we did kind of murder the murderer. And do plan on thieving their livestock. So hopefully the decapitation doesn't come to everyone that does that kind of thing, eh?" Bàn offers helpfully. Though perhaps it's not that helpful, on second thought.
"Hey, um... I don't think we got your name. Dugh's friend - Why not just promise you won't do no murdering and thieving in or around Good Mead and then we can all go about our business? Well, assuming you didn't have business with Dugh. As was pointed out, Dugh is dead. He's no longer open for business, eh?" Bàn says with a bit of amusement already knowing how this is going to end but waiting for it to happen.
Ricky will ready for the verbeeg's charge, looking to grab the spear and flip her with her own momentum
Athletics 8
Mechanically, just going to knock her prone when she closes. She'd still get to attack, but if she's prone, it might be at disadvantage? Which could be cool. Anyway
"Predictable," Bàn mutters as the Verbeeg rushes out blindly and attacks. Bàn is momentarilu impressed by Ricky just squaring up and readying himself for the assault, until he sees the Verbeeg smack him a pretty good one with her spear.
"Oooo, that looks like it hurt!" Bàn calls out as he loosens his whip, flashes it out, and send an Eldritch Blast along it's length to be snapped off as the whip cracks and the energy streaks straight at the Vergbeeg woman.
Eldritch Blast Attack: 7 to hit, 5 damage...
Unfortunately Bàn is too worried for his companion to aim straight, it seems...
Qinfaren watches the quick escalation of violence outside of the cave and sighs. There’s so much fighting up here in the north, he thinks to himself.
He quickly moves out of the cave at an angle to get to the side of the verbeeg so he has empty space between himself and the verbeeg and is about 15’ away.
He smashes the end of his staff down against the ground, focusing on the mistletoe wrapped around it as he does. In response a roar of thunder erupts out and slams into the verbeeg.
Once the sound passes, he directs the dire wolf to leap at the giant, and not to stop until Qinfaren says so.
Action - casts [spell/]Thunderwave[/spell] at second level causing 16 thunder damage. DC14 Con save for half damage. If fails, also the verbeeg is thrown 10’ away from Ricky.
Bonus Action: Direct Dire Wolf to attack - Bite: Attack: 15 Damage: 9 if the verbeeg isn’t thrown 10’ then Blue should be within 5’ and the attack would be at advantage - second roll = 25
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Con save: 23)
The verbeeg is caught off guard after being struck in the shoulder by the arrow. She is wholly caught unaware when Qinfaren casts Thunderwave. The force of the wave strikes her, and she is knocked back ten feet. The dire wolf takes this opportunity to attack and sinks its teeth into her flesh.
"Show her the head? That should explain what dead means..." Bàn suggests.

Ricky just lets his words sink in.

Bjorn shakes his head, "I don't think that would be a good idea."
The verbeeg continues, "Who did this? Was it you?"

Ricky nods. "Ya. It was me. It wasn't personal, but... Thievin' and murderin'. He got what comes to everyone that starts that up."

"It was you," the verbeeg repeats before shouting. "It was you!"
She then takes a hold of her spear and begins rushing at Ricky.
"You killed my beloved."

The verbeeg rushes at Ricky, and when she gets closer, he tries to knock her over. However, she withstands the effort and fails to fall to the ground.
She retaliates by striking Ricky with her spear, twice.

Bjorn's arrow flies through the air and pierces the verbeeg in the shoulder. However, Blue fails to bite the verbeeg.
