Ricky decides to take the lead and guide the group further up the mountain. Meanwhile, Owl starts searching the mountain for signs of life. However, Ricky eventually leads the group to an impasse and the group has to backtrack to continue up the mountain.
As the group descends back down the mountain, a rumbling sound is heard from above. Looking up, the group spots an avalanche of snow tumbling down the mountain and coming straight for them. The avalanche is several hundred feet above the group, but the snow is moving very fast.
(Roll for initiative.)

Mercury is in retrograde or something... Lol, it's fine. Qin, Ricky then Ban

"To the side," shouts Qinfaren. "Find a tree to grab on to and keep your mouth shut so the snow doesn't get inside."
Qinfaren doesn't try to outrun the avalanche, but instead starts cutting across the face of the mountain, looking to get out of its path. While he does, he looks for a big tree to get behind and hold on to.
Perception if needed: 15
Qinfaren moves to find something to grab ahold of. He spots a sapling sticking out from a crevice in the mountain.
The snow continues to tumble down the side of the mountain drawing closer to the group.

How wide across is the avalanche?
Ricky looks for a crevasse, something to offer shelter against the endless pressure of thousands of pounds of snow rocketing down a mountain

How does one fight an avalanche? If no possibility to escape by running to one side or the other appears to exist (perception, with help from Owl: 19) Bàn just braces himself and get ready to use Shield as often as he can til it passes…
(The avalanche is 300 feet wide.)
Between Ricky and Owl, they spot a crevasse in the mountain which could possibly allow them to shelter from the avalanche if they can reach it in time.
The fast-moving snow comes closer and is now only about one hundred feet above them. There is not a lot of time left.

Qinfaren runs towards the crevasse, dashing as quickly as he can to get there.
Ricky runs as quickly as halfling legs will take him

Well it can't look cowardly if everyone is doing it! Bàn makes a run for it as well, but still keeping that Shield Spell ready...
Qinfaren bolts into crevasse. However, before anyone else can move, the snow has caught up with them. The flow of snow comes crashing into Bjorn, Bàn and Ricky, sweeping them away.

Bàn save: 10
Ricky, Bàn and Bjorn are nocked off their feet from the avalanche taking 8 bludgeoning damage. The snow buries them trapping them in the snow. All three are now under total cover, restrained and blinded.
