(Okay, we're going to roll for initiative just to make sure we track everyone through this encounter. Artus: 12 Skarde: 11)
You watch as the man before you uses the columns of the ritual chamber as cover from Skarde. Skarde himself is a huge, blue-skinned, imposing figure. He is dressed in long white robes that drape of his undead form.
As Shad moves to hide behind the column that Artus was previously behind, Skarde spots him enter into he chamber. He let's out gravely laugh,
"Friend of yours, Cimber? He is welcome to join you in oblivion!”
Skarde gestures with his hand and utters the word "Gandisha!"
Suddenly, a frigid beam of blue-white light streaks towards Shad.

Shad's initiative: 11
A layer of Shad's coats, fur, and skin is frozen solid. As he moves, it cracks and falls to the ground behind him leaving large, bloody bare patches. He curls behind the gooey remains fo the pillar, hoping for full cover.
Skarde, at the opposite end of the chamber (60 ft away), turns his attention back to Artus. He gestures with his hand and once more a shimmering green arrow streaks towards Artus. This time the acid arrow strikes Artus who yells out in pain.
"That ain't fair! Don't shoot the messenger!" Arogna yells. She looks from Shad to Artus and back again, then drops the package next to Artus.
"I hope that's got somethin' good!" she tells him, then runs across to the remains of the pillar where Shad has ducked. She positions herself between Skarde and Shad, and hurls a javelin at Skarde.
"That's a warnin' shot! Let us go! There's a whole bunch of us! We're here deliverin', but we'll fight if we gotta," she shouts at him.

As Arogna enters into the chamber and approaches Artus, there is a sudden low groan as six zombies emerge from alcoves in the southern wall. However, Arogna safely makes back to Shad after delivering the package before throwing her javelin.
The javelin flies through the air it hits Skarde, but bounces harmlessly off of him clattering to the floor.
Skarde let's out a laugh, "Another one to join you in oblivion."
He gestures again as Skarde casts ray of frost at Arogna.

“The secret we should never let the gamemasters know is that they don't need any rules.” ― Gary Gygax
“Oh, we’re definitely fighting this!” Yells Muharg as he rushes across the room towards the lich, stoping side by side with Arogna, ready to repeal any attacks the undead might hurl at him.
The other three zombies begin advancing on Shad and Arogna before stopping.
(Three zombies are close to Shad and Arogna, three are surrounding Muharg.)
Artus looks on in disbelief as Muharg suddenly starts charging at Skarde. He then quickly picks up the package left by Arogna. Immediately when he touches the box it magically unlocks and springs open. Inside Artus finds a [magicitem]corpse slayer[magicitem] dagger.
He then calls out over the noise of the zombies and Skarde,
“This big stone here is the lich’s phylactery, I think this knife can destroy it. I knew Dragonbait could do it.” He glances over his shoulder at the frost giant lich, a wicked smile spreads across his face. “We're going to finish this monster off together. I want one of you to plunge that knife into that stone the instant I get him, so he can see what it’s like to be taken by oblivion. Got that? So one of you needs to get past these zombies and get this knife.”

"I don't know my way around knives," Qinfaren says. "But I can turn you invisible to help you get past the zombies and get to the stone without that lich seeing you."
If Bjorn is game, Qinfaren will focus for a moment, run his thumb along the mistletoe on his staff, say "Inuisibilitas" and cast Invisibility on him.
He then bangs his staff on the ground and gets ready to run down to take on the zombies.
