/ooc Starting at 5th level, when an attacker that you can see hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to halve the attack’s damage against you.
(I assume you can't use it again until some sort of rest? If so, you have to pick and choose what to mitigate because bigger damage may come later. So if you are attacked by 3 enemies, I believe you have a reaction available to each. If you actually have enough reaction abilities, you can react to each. Otherwise, enemy 1 may hit for 10, get "dodged" down to 5, then enemy 2 hits for 15 and you take 20 total)

(according to the PHB, it just costs a reaction. You get just one reaction per round and there doesn't appear to be anything that gives you more reactions per round. If you have multiple abilities that can use your reaction, you must pick one. You don't get another reaction until the next round)
(Ohh is it only 1 reaction per round of combat? That's still pretty nice.)

(Yep :) In 1-on-1 combat, you can essentially half the damage of the enemy forever unless they get multiple attacks.)

Not to cheat anyone out of their turn, but with Bluto down, the remaining fighters are clearly outmatched, and so I'm going to determine that Kevash's bats and flame attack do enough damage to finish them off. The fighters don't have anything worth taking. But if you investigate Bluto you will find a key on his person, as well as a pair of striding and springing boots.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kevash will walk over to his bats and, satisfied with their work, scratch their heads. He'll note the key and the special boots, but mostly he wants to take a look around the room to see what else is there now.
There are no chests in the room. There are some rations, rusty swords and clubs and poorly made leather armor pieces. There are footlockers that are unlocked by the bunk beds that contain personal necessities that wouldn't be much value or use to the party. There is a door in the lower left corner of the room. It is unlocked, not trapped but does not have any visible openings to look through. It is of the same wood and iron design as the rest of the doors in the dungeon.

Shariel had not seen true danger in months, let alone from someone who was a competent opponent. As the last of the clumsy followers was set upon or immolated, she stormed to the unconscious knight (?) and leveled her blade at his temple, "Anyone care to tell me why this miserable bastard deserves to live? Before anyone answers, let me be very clear: hostages are baggage. We can't drag him around in tow without inviting danger our ourselves."

"I... I'm kinda confused? Sorry?" Tellan glances uneasily at the downed knight and the sword pointed at his head. "I feel like you lot know who this guy is, but I'm lost as hell. Did he... do something? Take some of your stuff or somethin'? Like, I know he jumped us when we walked in, which is extremely rude by the way if you're listening, This Guy, but. Yeah. I don't know?" She shrugs at Shariel. "Unless he's been eatin' babies or something I imagine lettin' him live is technically the right thing to do, but I dunno what you guys apparently know. Maybe we could just tie him up or somesuch and leave him here, then deal with 'im when we're done? And those other guys, too, I guess, if any of 'em are left that aren't full-on bat chow by now."
Riya appears to be moving toward the boots as she hears the interjections, stopping with her arm partway outstretched toward them. She turns her head, appearing a bit peeved as she looks back toward the party. "He has a price on his head. Besides, he may have useful information. We need to keep him alive, at least until he wakes up."
Kevash steps forward, ropes in-hand. "Patience, Shariel....I agree with Riya. Let us know what he know's before you cast down judgement. "The dragonborn kneels down and produces supplies from his Healer's Kit. He'll expend one use of it to stabilize Bluto. He then offers a length of rope to anyone who would assist him, and begins binding the downed knight.
Shariel spins on a heel in a huff, slapping her sword back into it's scabbard with an unsatisfying thwack (like how metal-on-wood should sound). She collects as many arrows as she can from the bodies and goes to a corner to salvage what she can, "You have fun with your little chat, I'm getting some well-deserved rest where I can. If he gets too friendly, I'm giving him an oil bath with a quick-dry followed by a forced dip in the floating river."
(DM ruling: taking a rest. If it takes long enough, I'll gladly take a long rest. Otherwise, taking a short rest (not spending HD because there's no damage to recover))

I'd like to keep things moving with a short rest, unless anyone really needs the HP recovery. The knight is now securely bound by the rope. He is slowly coming to.

Kiellie sits down frustrated that these old cods didn't have anything of worth on them. "I say if he's worth something keep him alive if not no use in dragging him around." she sat down to tend to her wound. "I could use a bandage over here when someone has time" not really saying to anyone directly.
(If I had known there wouldn't be a long rest until the very end, I wouldn't have been so frivolous with my Psi Points lol)

/ooc I will stay with my same attack. How does Uncanny Dodge work is there a way I can use that to prevent or try and prevent so much damage?
