"A worthy sentiment, Samael, but I might wonder if there isn't something more than coin we could offer. Being adventurers, perhaps there is a particular problem we could help the marshfolk with - I'm sorry if my point isn't getting across. Clem, could you... clarify my question for our friend?"

As the conversation goes back and forth, Morn decides to settle aside a moment and ritually cast Comprehend Languages to better aid the negotiation.

Clem turns to Samael, "Son, there's only so much anyone will do for the cost of a mug of ale."

"Oh, you meant... Right."

"What sort of help you offering them? I'm guessing you're not wanting to detour from tracking down the fella you're after?"

"We might be persuaded into such a detour, or perhaps, if convenient, an additional stop on the way back after having found 'our fella'. I am hesitant to offer the majority of our remaining coin, seeing as you already have a healthy stake in it, Clem, but perhaps we can offer something with longer-lasting impact. Connections. I'd be surprised if there are many forges for steel tools or merchants peddling amenities in these marshes. I wonder if we couldn't make an arrangement to deliver more concrete valuables to our friends here, though certainly this assumes at least a degree of success in our current endeavor."

"True enough, If you've got something of the sort, they may be interested in trading it for their services?"

((If you wanted to put up either any of the set gear your have, or put some of your AG slots into the pot, that may buy Hgru's guide services for the next few days.))

"I think that this might be the best way to proceed - although valuable, the expenditure of some of our adventuring gear now might best serve us in the long run. I know that I have some more stocked up back at town, and I assume that others have as well. I put it to the group - would we be willing to make this trade?"

"I can't imagine that these marsh folk would care much for steel forges and the like, but it's worth a shot," Morn nods, "Alternatively, I can offer my services as a diviner. Perhaps there's something I can help them locate or foresee?"

Horatio claps his hands. "You see, that's what I am talking about. Creative solutions. Well, let's see how they respond."

"I will teach them how to best spot demons and devils in disguise. I have seen enough to know how they act among humanity."

((Clem's willing to take your offer to them, if you deputize him to do so, he'd just need to know what specifically is on offer. Alternately, one of you who rolled high for understanding marshfolk could make a Persuasion roll along with your proposal, I'll say if just one of you rolls, the other could be helping to confer advantage. If someone who rolled under that 15 to understand them were to be the one making the roll, it would be at disadvantage.))

Trinjya volunteers to negotiate with Hgru.

"It is hard to say what kind of aidthese people would need, but I will offer him our service in return for his. If they are bothered by a beast we can slay it, if they need something that is dangerous or hard to get out here, maybe we can find and get it for them. If Hgru has no need for that we can still think about spending some coins. Any objections?"

((Oh, I  guess Trinjya would know that and would use the appropriate gender. )

Morn shakes his head, "None from me. That sounds fair. I'm sure the offer of teaching new fiend hunting skills, or divining something for them, or killing some beast will be of interest to them. I'm not sure that coin will get us far with them as they do live in the wilds."

Trinjya shrugs.

"Maybe, but I've come around many desperate places and all of them had one thing in common and that's peoples desire for coin"

She turns to Samael as he also seemed to do well with the marsh folk's dialect.

"Samael, would you help me out on this?"

With a tone in her voice, that makes clear that this was not really a question but a demand.

Trinjya then tries to get her message across offering the service of the group to Hgru in exchange for her service as a guide. Pointing out Morns special capabilities, their offers for teaching and maybe just slightly exaggerating the groups experience in finding and if nescessary slaying of people, objects or creatures. She ends her offer with asking if Hgru, knowing the group's capabilities, has a problem the group could solve for her as a payment for her Service as a guide.

Trinjya throws out a bunch of options, but Hgru kind of just gives her a look, as if she threw out so many options that it doesn't seem like Trinjya knows what she wants, and is just sort of flailing desperately for help.
