Horatio carefully crosses over to shore, balancing awkwardly on the board before following Trinjya for the walk. Returning to camp, he assists somewhat in preparing whatever rations are divvied up amongst the party, but otherwise keeps to himself, and retires back onto the ship's cabin at the first opportunity.
Edit: Horatio, having been the inspired originator of this mission, breaks out his pack of rations for the party to partake, warming and vaguely rendering the stored foods into something edible as best he can before retiring to the cabin onboard. (down to 1 AG and camping gear.)
((What watches do folks want to take? Clem and his boys are each taking a watch, with the expectation that each will be joined by at least one member of the party.))

The first two watches go by uneventfully, though Samael is weary, and keeps getting prodded by the riverman to stay alert. Sirq and Horatio are roused by one of Clem's boys to join him on the third watch.
((Sirq and Horatio, give me Perception checks please!))
Sirq groggily opens his eyes as one of Clem's boys shakes him awake. "Wuzzgoinon?" he rubs his eyes and says. "Alright, alright." He rises to take his post at the watch station.
Both Sirq and Clem's son aren't paying too much attention, but Horatio is, and a flapping, whining sound comes to his ears, and he sees dark shapes flitting through the air, circling the boat.
The color drains from Horatio's face and he leaps to his feet, even as the sound in his area sudden dulls to a low rumble. "Flyers! We've got trouble!" Booms his voice, thaumaturgically enhanced to ring out in a thunderous peal. If he has another moment to prepare himself for battle, he will briefly close his eyes, his magic flaring as he casts false life on himself at first level through the use of a recited invocation. Now bolstered by an aura of necromantic tenacity (7 temp hp) he readies himself for battle.
((Sure, I'll say you got that off in time, given your early notice.))
As Horatio's voice booms, Clem's son on watch jolts around, grabbing up his crossbow and scanning the surroundings as his brothers and father stumble out of their bunks.
"Da! It's a flock of pumpers!"
((Everyone can go ahead and give me initiative, Sirq and Samael with disadvantage still. Those of you within the cabin, would be able to make it out on the deck of the boat with your movement, and still have Action and/or Bonus Action available to you.))

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Trinjya literally jumpes from her bunk within the boat as Horatio's call shakes her out of her sleep.
Initiative:16
Spending most of her life among criminals, Trinjya is a light slreper and is instantly fully awake and ready to fight. She draws her dagger and makes her way to deck, carefully assessing the situation outside before exposing herself by steig out of the cabin.

Samael eats his portion on the boat, taking river-view watch.

Morn will take watch first with one of Clem's boys. Or failing that, the last watch as the sun begins to rise over the swamp.
Samael takes second watch.
Trinjya takes the last watch (what ever number that would be), she is kind of an early bird anyways.
