Frizzle stands on his chair puffing up all of his 2 feet and 11 inches, "I am Frizzle of TonTon village! Uh...It is bad luck to sleep on tables!" He nods at everyone and squats back down.

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
"I thought I was going to be one of the more exotic beings here. " Fenron commented. He turned to their host. "What interest are these ruins to you? What if we're plundering someone's ancestral burial grounds?" He asked.
The Tiefling looks back and forth between the others. ”Malxes. How do you do.“ He runs His fingers through his hair. “Ready to cast off when the rest of you are.” He sits down and puts his feet up while he waits.
In his faintly accepted, deep voice, Talon says, "I am Talon of the Stormwrath tribe. Pleasure to meet all of you."He scans each person in the room, taking in details.
Marik responds to Fenron's question with, "We are exploring Khaliad in hopes of finding a way to fix the problem back on Ionra. We need the ruins explored in the case of finding something that could help."
Frizzle looks at Gellendri and shrugs, "Everybody I know looks like me. Except the color. Momma is blu and Da is red. Aunt Shim was orange with black spots. Uncle Oren is yellow. Samsam is kinda barf green. Jimjim is also barf green but with blue spots....nobody looks like you. Were you cursed to look like that? Or that guy over there?"
Frizzle blinks, other folks are talking. He doesn't want to miss anything. What did they say??

Gellendri thinks for a second. “I didn’t mean any offense. I’ve just never seen your kind before. I apologize.” Gellendri walks away, afraid that she made Frizzle upset. She sits on one of the chairs, waiting while still watching her new group.
Frizzle follows along, clearly not upset. He plops down next to Gallendri not understanding the social distance clue. He continues to watch the others with child-like curiosity.

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
Fenron sighed. "Ancient ruins would imply sentient beings. We need to be careful not to destroy anymore homes than we already have. We've destroyed one world, we should take care not to destroy another." Fenron said. As far as he was concerned, he was already here. He'd choose which actions to take based on what he found about the situation. The Contract didnt mean quite as much to him.
Gellendri sees Frizzle walk over to her and scoots instinctively to make space even though there’s a completely free chair available for him to sit on.
Enjoying the banter while it lasted, Marik says to the group, "Well, if you all are in agreement, you start tomorrow. I'll let you decide where you want to stay the night. Many people are living in tents just outside the city while houses are being built. There are a few inns, but they can be a little pricy." As an afterthought, he adds, "You might want to get some supplies before you head out." He stands to leave, " I'll let you guys figure it out. Anyways, good luck, " he says with a wink. He stands up and leaves the room.
Frizzle takes a walk to the beach and takes a swim then goes in search of the blacksmith. He offers to do simple chores in exchange for a spot on the floor next to the forge - cutting wood, shaping nails, filing burs, or whatever.

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
((I've only ever played railroad campaigns, so a sandbox is new to me. Have you been working on a map or anything like that?)) Fenron looked at him. "We will need supplies. What kind of edible fauna is there nearby?" Fenron asked.
Fenron's and Gellendri's questions catch Marik just before he leaves. He responds, "There's a market just outside this building. You should be able to find most of what you need there. There is a list of supplies you probably need on the back of the map. Show the vendors your contract and they should give you a discount. As for edibles in the wild, there is a tree that grows clusters of curved yellow fruit called bananas. They're unique to the area. I'll meet you guys tomorrow morning in front of this building to see you off. Goodbye," he says with a wave as he exits.
Flipping the map over, you see that a list is scrawled on the parchment in his neat handwriting. It includes:
10 torches
15 rations for each person
4 leather tarps for cover
100 feet of rope
Tinder box
Notebook
Pen and ink
Flint and steel
But deterrent
Collapsible cot/hammock for each person
Waterskin for each person
((Note: if you already have some of these, you don't need to buy them again.))
Malxes will pipe up. “Alright, everyone. Drop 5 gold in the bag each, I’ll go get us sorted out. Someone come with me to prove I’m not a cheat and to carry the heavy stuff. Let me know if you showed up short on rations, and definitely let me know if you’ve already got a book and pen.”
(Seems simpler to get everyone sorted this way.)

Gellendri walks over to Frizzle and begins to inspect him. “Were you cursed into this state?” She asks him.
"No no, I volunteered to come here. The village elders had a long talk about it and I was told I want to come."
