Io shrugs and says as he is getting out of his wet armor, "I don't know. I have never been to underwater towns and the only interaction I have had with people from such a place was short small talk with a Triton nobleman at a feast once."
"The gods work in mysterious ways," Ritha shrugs. "Sometimes, we mortals cannot comprehend the bigger picture, but even the smallest of actions have their purpose."
Xerronios smiles inwardly in response to Ritha's comment. Not that he disagreed, of course, but purpose was at the center of all actions, whether the actor was mortal or immortal.
Moving around the ship, the bard pulled out his lute and moved around, using his song-born magic to dry everyone's clothes.
ooc: I know the spell doesn't expressly cover drying things, just taking a little poetic licence.
Kanlos nods his thanks to Xerronios for drying his clothing and heads to the captain, "To port then? Turn in the pirates and this ship and restock our supplies?"
The Proud Jester cuts through the waters, with the Sinful Devil close behind. A pod of dolphins is seen towards midday as you sail along, the dolphins jumping out of the water to get a look at the ship. They follow for a bit longer, then fade away.
You have another night at see, then arrive in the port town, which is located on a larger island. Gnorcys comes to you as the ship is being docked. "We'll top off our supplies while we are here." She informs you all. "Feel free to see if you can find either someone to buy the Sinful Devil, or dock her for you as we complete our mission."
What is everyone doing as we reach port? it is a fair-sized town, with several taverns, most things you might wish to buy, though magical items are rare, and a good sized population.
As Io sees the port town getting closer, he would immediately ask Gnorcys, "How long are we going to stay in the port town? There are a few personal but important things I need to do."
Xerronios has been thinking about this for some time. "I believe we should sell the ship and her cargo. I, for one, am not interested in being a ship owner and if we just leave it here we'll have to pay for dock space, someone to watch it, things like that."
"I agree that I see no use for it as of yet," Ritha says, "though I've yet to discern why Thassa delivered such a bounty into our hands. Perhaps to finance our further expedition? I do not know," she says, shaking her head. "There are some supplies I would like to purchase if we are to visit the town... if you do not mind, I could accompany you, Io. Perhaps we could both find what we search for much more easily that way. Also, it might be wise to ask about, and see if the Sinful Devil had any sort of reputation that preceded it, before we let it go."
Io turns to Ritha and says, "Perhaps you are right but what I seek is a person and information regarding that. I plan to hit as many taverns, inns, bars and public gatherings as I can in the limited time we have. Perhaps I can ask about the Sinful Devil and her crew as well?"
RItha nods in agreement. "I only need to find a blacksmith's shop of some sort," she admits. "And I am not very good at ... befriending people," she admits awkwardly. "Not outside of the context of Temple business, that is. It might be better if the information gathering is left to you."
Kanlos shrugs, "I have all that I need, that I can afford anyway, but I'm happy to help out wherever I can. If you tell me what, or who, you're looking for Io, I can investigate separately and we can double your search?"
Io thinks for a bit before answering Kanlos, "That... might be for the best. The person I am searching is a certain medusa named Mirrie. To avoid drawing attention to herself and to not turn people to stone randomly, she might be wearing clothes that cover up as much of her as possible. She is about my height and has a slim build. I believe she might be on the move and may have passed the town."
Kanlos gives a little half smile at the description, “So you’re looking for a bundled up slim built woman? Any kind of distinguishing marks or anything to help identify her? I’m afraid with that description it might be hard to find her.”
Io explains, "Other than her having greenish skin and amber eyes, I don't suppose there are any. I would not recommend looking into the eyes if you do happen to find her though, as it will most likely result in petrification. Additionally they maybe covered as well with a thin veil, thin enough to see through but obscuring enough to prevent turning people to stone."
Kassiopeia thinking „Oi theoí eínai treloí!“
Amending „Except for Karametra!“ in her mind.

Io thanks Xerronios for the magical drying. He will then get back to putting on his now dry armor.

ooc: Hi all. Are we just going through a holiday slow down?

OOC: Probably. Not sure.
(OOC: Not just a holiday slow down, but the issues with my laptop are not resolved yet - see my signiture as I keep status updates there.)

"Perhaps it was not Thassa who delivered the ship to us. Perhaps it was another god who put us in the path of the Sinful Devil," Xerronios mused.
