Xerronios nods his agreement with Io. "That's a good idea, Io." He starts looking around for a good place to hide, then stops, and turns to the two who've been on the island. "Where is a good place to hide?" he asks them.
"Yes, friends, let's exit this scene and bide our time..." Livilias says, perhaps as somberly as the new people have yet heard him.
((In our time on the island, have we seen the undead enter the water? Our hideyhole is out at sea a bit upon one of the wrecks... If we've not yet experienced swimming or underwater walking zombies, Livilias strongly recommends we all retire there until they pass. "It'll be a tight squeeze, but all the merrier for it!" he assures them.))
Kanlos speaks up as he examines the incoming zombies, "If they're directed by any sort of intelligence, they may know that we destroyed the previous patrol and not simply pass on by, they may search harder for intruders."
Livilias and Winlass would know that some of the undead do indeed walk in the water sometimes. There is one specific type of undead that does this, a zombie-like one, but who has a blueish tinge to their skin, and seem at home as much on land as in the water. These undead carry rusted longsword and wear leather armor.
As Kanlos looks through his spyglass he spots a group of undead moving towards you. These undead have bluish skin, and wear leather armor. Rusted longswords swing at their sides. Half of them walk on land, the othre half in the water. It is impossible to get a count of them, as several are hidden, or half-hidden by wrecks in the shallows.
Io responds, "Perhaps we can retreat back to the boat, rest up and then launch a second expedition deeper in the island if that is indeed what we decide to do?"
(What is the distance between us and them? We cannot tell type but can we roughly tell number of them?)
"I suggest we move, no matter what we finally decide to do. This location is close to our hidey hole and your ship, it seems. Best not make this spot the target of future patrols," Livilias suggests. "Board a different shipwreck further down the shore or find some trees to climb... Perhaps having to climb to try to attack us would slow them down?"
Xerronios thinks for a moment then says, "In light of the approaching threat, and given they are undead of a watery nature, I'm not sure retreating back to our ship is the best idea. What if they, or other water-undead, catch us at sea in the rowboat. Let's move, find a non-water place to hide that makes for good defense and hold full retreat as a later option."
The undead are about 200 feet away, but have not spotted you as of yet.
You are close to the wreck the 2 you just found were using as their hidyhole previously, if that is of interest to anyone.
For other places to hide, the reef, which blocks access to the interior of the island, has many caves in it. There are litterally hundreds of options of places to hide there, all you have to do is cross the 100 or so feet of beach to reach the reef and then find a cave large enough to hide in.
Xerronios nods at the pock-marked face of the 'reefs'. "I think those offer the best options for hiding, if we want to avoid water. Plenty of caves there. And we should move soon, I think."
"If we can ascertain a hiding location with a chokepoint between it and the undead, then I could manifest awebthat could trap the majority of them, after which point we could pepper them with arrows and other missiles,"Windlass says, looking for one.
You are on an open beach. Ship wrecks pepper the water, and a few pieces of ships have washed up on the sand itself, but there is nothing big enough to anchor webs to. Nothing close enough together at least.
"It's not been my experience that these undead are the most intelligent or perceptive of creatures..." Livilias says. "Sure, sure... We should get out of sight. But let's not overthink this much. Most anything they don't stumble right atop of should do..." But Livilias will follow any who has a plan.

"And possibly alerting the undead's controller and calling down untold numbers. Plus, there is the whole mark of Erebos thing. I vote hide and explore," says the leonine bard.

(If we are near one of the shipwrecks Windlass and Livilias have been using as a home, she will suggest hiding inside if possible.)

"Is it too late to go back to the ship? Livilias asks wryly.
"It is best to not fight the blue ones in the water... They're all but unaffected by it does slow regular peoples," Livilias points out.
(Not sure if they are blue, but i did find what I think will pull in a photo of them...)

Nope, didn't work...

Kanlos shakes his head, "Unless we're confident we can hide, we'd be better off retreating before they find the boat we came ashore on."

If you move towards the reefs then give me stealth checks.
