"Velshir, you want to try and head over there and try and spy on them some to see if they're more likely to be friendly or hostile?" Brencharis hunches down and begins making her way over to the house slowly, hoping it helps her hide from anyone look out the windows better. Stealth - 9
The first structure is just another ruined farmhouse, warn down to nearly nothing by wildlife and weather. Beyond it appears to be a more sturdy, empty appearing home, fully intact. Doors shut and windows shuttered.
Map of what you can see from the one you are in (marked with the blue x)
Reidoth points at the darkened structure. "That is where I saw the activity several days ago."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Prentiss moves up to join the others and looks over at the building that Reidoth is referring to. "Well I guess we're clearing that out then? Any sign of danger?"
Looking for signs of scouts or recent activity: Perception 5 (passive 11)
“If they’re friendly, we’re leaving them alone. They’ve done nothing to harm us so far. If they’re actively aggressive towards us, then I have no qualms about fighting back.” She then makes her way over to the closest window and tries listening in on whatever conversation may be going on, hiding out of view of the window to avoid being seen.
Kallen will stay behind the group, she don't want to get caught by surprise of any enemies! "Dose anyone want my blessing? I can make anyone better at being stealth1" She whispers to anyone who can hear her.
Velshir and Brencharis approach the structure, well accustomed to the environment now and making no noise at all. The rest of the group following carefully behind.
Amongst your group you find the structure to be shuttered and doors closed though not swollen like some of the others you've encountered. Several tracks outside the structure seem to imply recent inhabitation. As Brencharis moves closer she hears discussion between a couple individuals, but she is not close enough to hear what they are saying.
"Psst hey Brencharis! Take my lucky coin it will help you with this situation!" She carefully past the coin to her and uses Blessing of the Trickster to improve her sneaking then she pulls a quick prayer for an extra layer for her mission! (Not sure if I'm close enough to Brencharis if not then i will direct it towards Velshir or whoever the closet i can get)
Blessing of the Trickster = Advantage to Stealth rolls for 1hr Guidance: 2(if you allow)
Brencharis takes the offered lucky coin, then offers Kallen a thumbs up in return after motioning for Kallen to be quieter. She presses her ear to the shuttered window, trying to see if she can hear anything the people inside are saying.
Stealth: 15
Perception: 17 + 4 (pretty sure the person you cast guidance on rolls)
Brencharis presses an ear dangerously close to an arrowslit in the window shutter as one of the inhabitants moves towards it but isn't noticed as he calls over his shoulder, "You! Make yourself useful, we need something to eat. A few of those fat squirrels would cook up nice. And you, go with him! You two, up! You've slept long enough." Then she hears movement up to the window as several others move within the room and near the door.
Shortly following this, sounds of a bolt shifting by the main door is heard by all. Exact words are not heard by the others, only sounds of orders being given in a couple directions within the structure.
You all have moments before certain discovery. What do you do?
Guidance allowed and rolls resulted in not being noticed so close to the window. You are all positive however that at current locations you will be noticed at least by whomever is opening the door if not by who is moving to observe from the arrow slits in the shutters.

Joshua was hanging back with Prentiss. Assuming he heard the door he would try his best to be out of sight, if that isn't possible he would ready a Fire Bolt to go off at the first enemy if any combat starts.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Hearing this Brencharis quietly backs away from the door, gestures for Joshua to cancel whatever spell he was planning on casting, and then turns to face the door, grabbing her shortbow and holding loosely by her side, trying to create the image of someone who was just wandering through, with no harmful intent towards whoever lives in the house. When someone walks out of the house she'll smile cheerfully, wave at them, and greet them by saying "Oh hello there! It's nice to see another living creature out here that doesn't want to immediately kill us!"
As the door starts to open a shout of warning inside from the window area is heard and the foremost figure looks back in that direction as they open the door. Another behind them spots Brencharis immediately and draws a weapon hesitantly not moving to attack but calling to another inside. "Favric! Company!"
Another figure strides quickly to the doorway, steps in front of the other two and eyes Brencharis. "Yes." He says slowly taking in the others at various distances appearing to be trying to assess the situation. "It is a dangerous place to be. What brings you here?"
All are dressed similarly.
As Joshua specified ready triggered by combat beginning, he still holds his spell at the ready should this occur (Wild Surge Roll when it does please)
The 'Cultists' seem aware of all of your presences except perhaps Reidoth whose position is not apparent.
"We're a group of adventurers, sent here to clear out the twig blights and zombies who took over the town after the eruption. The man who hired us for the job said something something about wanting to put Thundertree back on the map? A dragon was mentioned, but we were told so long as we left him alone, we would be left alone as well. Our employer mentioned nothing about you fine gentlemen living here, but his information might've been faulty. I'd like to think we're a pretty charitable group, so is there anything we might be able to help you with?" She puts her bow back on her shoulder, then turns around gestures for her party members to stow their own weaponry or spells. Once that is done, she turns around and faces the man in the doorway. "I have no intent of hurting you or your compatriots, and hopefully the same can be said for you?" She tries loosening her stance trying to appear peaceful, hoping it helps her appear non-hostile.
Prentiss had stood frozen to the spot when he realised that they were about to be spotted. Now his cheeks burn with annoyance at his own incompetence, hands by his sides in fists as he tries to keep his expression passive.

Prentiss looks around the area from the doorway of the ruined structure and sees no activity outside the building at this time.
Brencharis slips past and moves closer to the building, gracefully avoiding brush and ground debris making no sound at all.
What are the rest of you doing?
Velshir will follow Brencharis at a respectable distance, keeping close to the building to try to stay relatively out of view.
Kallen will stay behind the group, she don't want to get caught by surprise of any enemies! "Dose anyone want my blessing? I can make anyone better at being stealth1" She whispers to anyone who can hear her.

Prentiss looks on from a short distance, aware that his clumsiness might cause trouble.
Velshir will patiently let Brencharis take point.

Velshir stands ready as always a bit back but is following Brencharis’ lead and probably couldn’t hear what’s going on.
